The Order of the Literary Masons

38 posts in this topic.

1. Attention all Wordsmiths and Storyconstructors:

Spoiler

The foundation of all things excellently created is order, and while the other districts linger in nonchalance, we, the literary masons of District Two, must unite in support of our tribute.

I suggest that we divide ourselves into three groups for when we review our tribute's work, each having its own speciality:
1. Spelling, Grammar and Punctuation
2. Vocabulary, Character and Style
3. Theme, Plot and Setting

The first step in assisting our tribute is to elect a Grand Masterbuilder to lead us. Everyone should vote in this matter, and while our elected leader may aid in reviewing, their primary objective should be to maintain order.

Once this has been done, a leader for each of the three categories ought to be elected; I think that only the members of a certain category should vote for their specific leader, though. These Masterbuilders should then provide guidance to their respective categories and must regularly report back to the Grand Masterbuilder.

To keep things fair concerning the voting, I think we should keep to these guidelines:
1. You should not vote for yourself.
2. Only vote for one individual.
3. Once you have voted, do not change your vote, for this may demoralise the candidate/s.

Should one of the four Masterbuilders be selected as the tribute of District Two, a re-election must be held.

Divide yourselves into the categories of your preference (you may only be part of one category, of course), but if they are unbalanced, I think the Grand Masterbuilder should reserve the right to balance things out by moving you to another category. Be that the case, I think they should first ask who would be willing to move, but if no one volunteers, they can move whomever they please. Unless convinced otherwise, their decision is final.

If anyone has any objections or suggestions, feel free to make them, but remember, our duty should first be to our district and our tribute, and then to ourselves. May the odds be ever in our favour!
2. I pledge myself to the category of Spelling, Grammar and Punctuation. Also, my vote for our Grand Masterbuilder goes to dragonfphoenix.

The results so far:
@dragonfphoenix : 1 vote
3. I pledge myself to Vocabulary, Character and Style

I vote @SecreteJournalist
For Grand Masterbuilder.
4. The results so far:
dragonfphoenix: 1 vote
SecreteJournalist: 1 vote
5. I guess I'll be in Vocabulary, Character, and Style (haha no fancy colors). My vote shall go to the magical:
JamesHunt
If balancing must be made, I could be placed anywhere.
6. I also vote for Secrete!
7. The results so far:
dragonfphoenix: 1 vote
SecreteJournalist: 2 votes
JamesHunt: 1 vote
8. I pledge myself to Spelling, Grammar and Punctuation
9. I also pledge myself to Spelling, Grammar, and Punctuation. Haha. I'll vote in a while. ^,^
10. dragonfphoenix: 1 vote
SecreteJournalist: 2 votes
JamesHunt: 1 vote
Nike: 1 vote
Savvy: 1 vote
11. I pledge myself for 3, theme, plot and setting, and then i dont know who to vote for, so good luck guys!!
12. IAlreadyDied - Nike and Savvy only stated in which category they want to be, and have yet to vote. Please, nobody vote in chat or elsewhere, only here, for otherwise it is difficult to have a proper election.

The results so far:

dragonfphoenix: 1 vote
SecreteJournalist: 2 votes
JamesHunt: 1 vote

If any of the candidates wish to opt out, please do so before the elections are finished, as those had voted for you must then revote. Also, if a candidate receives sixteen votes, they automatically win.
13. The categories so far:
1. Spelling, Grammar and Punctuation: 3 members
2. Vocabulary, Character and Style: 2 members
3. Theme, Plot and Setting: 1 member

If you see the category of your preference gaining more and more members, do not panic, for each needs a minimum of nine (9) members. Those who join after this amount has been reached, however, are the most likely ones to be moved, should it be necessary. (You understand why, I presume?)
14. *The categories so far:
15. I pledge myself to spelling, grammar, and punctuation. As for Grand Masterbuilder, I vote dragonofphoenix.

Oh, I'm sorry. My friends are in the popcorn and I have to save them.
