Joined Squills: 11th October 2021
Because: I wanted to try a new kind of writing, and because I love the informative columns that pop up in Squills and wanted to get involved in that.
Writing Preferences: My idea is to get involved with anything that discusses literary ideas! I have plans to start a column called 'Poetry Throughout the Ages', wherein we talk about the origins of some interesting forms or poetic concepts. I'm also keen on interviewing members or covering discussions that happened on the site. On YWS, I tend to dabble in both poetry and prose, but I'm really interested in all kinds of writing.
General Information: I joined the site in 2018, and since then I've always been a little bit all over the place. My focus is spread wide and thin, like marmalade on a slice of toast.
I enjoy participating in writing events like NaPo and NaNo, as well as a lot of writing challenges or prompts that catch my eye. I'm a pretty detailed reviewer and enjoy analysing things, so you'll often find me in places like Poetry Readers.
You'll also see me hopping around Randomosity and trying to be funny on my wall or in pads. Reading and writing are essentially . . . my life, but I do love a good comedy skit and often procrastinate watching loads of YouTube videos. In terms of topics, I tend to be interested in philosophy, science, history and languages.
