So I thought this would be a cool thing to drum up interest in various projects that people will have going during Camp NaNo come April (or July, whenever you're reading this). Go ahead and post your pitch for your Camp NaNo project!
Of course, "short" can be variable. How well can you get across the core plot of your story in a limited space?

Here's what I put on the website for Mister Darcy:
When the invaders demand Agatha's freedom, her only choice is to run away. She's never ventured out of her home town before, and apparently neither has Mister Darcy, the adventurous character she meets along the way. But Agatha feels that there's something not quite right about him, and perhaps she would have been better off taking her chances with the invaders.

This story is based on my own adventure in the dreamworld. I've wanted to write it for ages but of course, procrastination got the better of me. I don't have a specific word goal, but I think I should need at least 10,000 to write it properly. -
After debating between revisiting an old project and continuing one I'm working on now, I decided on the old project. The situation and the characters are just so perfect I can't pass them up. So, yeah. Small word goal this time around (I learn from my past mistakes sometimes xD) in hopes that this'll kick my butt into action and I'll continue working on it.

Captive (YA contemporary romance)
This is draft 4 and it's dramatically changing from previous drafts because after a considerable amount of feedback I realized I'm not telling the story I want to tell and I'm trying to do too much.
My goal is to write 1100 words a day. So 33,000 words total.

Molly has a plan. In the summer before college, she's going to volunteer in the Philippines and she's going to re-kindle the strained relationship she has with her long-time crush, Noah. Noah also has a plan. He wants to prepare for college and hang out with his girlfriend.
But when something on Molly's trip goes wrong and tragedy strikes Noah's family, all of their plans are thrown off track. Noah starts to question the future that has been laid out for him, and Molly will have to fight to make it back home to Noah. -
An anthology is a weird thing to try to describe, but the good thing is I have a /theme/.

God as we know Him/Her/Them has gone absent, and the cosmos are left in its bitter autonomy. The anthology itself is split into three parts:
-Saints & Sinners--Stories about believers and non-believers alike, not necessarily including God as a main character.
-Angels & Demons--Stories about angels and demons. Still not including God as a main character.
-Gods & Men--God interacting with prophets who question him for leaving humanity to the cruelty of the world.
