The Winter Gardens

Here we are again at last in a place of our own
Where we all stand and will never be alone
Outside the walls and all of us freed
The group of lunatics sitting on the grass

Here we are at last at the winter gardens
Where the people meet beside the path and on the grass
Where time goes by so fast

The one place we’d meet up and smile
Even when the people are in the worst of times
We will not bow our heads in shame
But instead hold our heads up high into the sky.

Here we are at last at the winter gardens
Where the people meet beside the path and on the grass
Where time goes by so fast

Then one by one we separate and disappear in the thin air
Our time has come to leave the gardens
And to come back another day
Where the people cry out in laughter and silently fade away.

Here we are at last at the winter gardens
Where the people meet beside the path and on the grass
Where time goes by so fast

We hear a voice call out saying we will meet again
When that day comes we will become more than friends
Remember the Together we stand divided we fall.

Very good. Love the reference to Pink Floyd :D:D:D

The only thing is... I think you can do better with the end. It sounds a little preachy, making it kill your climax :(. Other than that, very interesting.:D:D:D
PM me if you have quesitons :D

Poetry is my cheap means of transportation. By the end of the poem the reader should be in a different place from where he started. I would like him to be slightly disoriented at the end, like I drove him outside of town at night and dropped him off in a cornfield.
