Once upon a time, there was a race other than humans living on this Earth, far back, before the dinosaurs. Their name was the Asters. How do I know this, and not any scientist? It’s because I found a book on them - a book like no other. A book which recounts a tale of bravery and love. I have transcribed the images of the book into words for your pleasure.
There was once a kingdom called Baskerville, which was right on the edge of a huge country called Georgia. It was protected by a special spell which kept all the evil outside of the barrier and into the dense forest covering the entire land around it. In the heart of the city, there was a majestic castle, high up in the mountains, in which lived a very nice King and Queen. They took care of the rich and the poor, trying to spread equality all over the place. But the two also had to place strict rules around the kingdom so that nothing bad could happen. Magic was banned, and if you got caught using it, you would be sent straight to gaol.
They had 3 sons, Sans, Serif, and Verdana. These boys grew up to be the most valiant fighters anybody had ever known. They ventured out into the forest, something no one had ever tried before. When they went out on an adventure, they came across many monsters which used magic as their weapons. Yet they fought against them using swords and shields.
On the other side of the village, there was a poor blacksmith’s family, who had 3 daughters called Helvetica, Lucida, and Myriad. These 3 girls grew up to be hard-working women. They supported their parent's by finding jobs around town and earning the money they all lived off. They all loved fighting. Each one of them had their own sword, which fit them ‘just right,’ and practiced using them against each other. People called the girls silly for picking up such manly weapons. But they didn’t care.
One day, when the princes were outside the kingdom’s border, they got severely hurt by a pack of 3 dragons. They rode back on their horses, wounded, and couldn’t do anything except eat and sleep for the next 3 days. This attack scared everyone living in the kingdom. Everyone knew it. Their magic was getting stronger by the day.
3 months later, the kingdom was struck by a massive attack. 3 dragons and 3 giants all came from the forest and tore down the outer walls of the city. They could not advance further, because of the spell, but they still posed a threat to the city. No one dared fight back. No one, except 3 young girls, and 3 young boys.
“What are you 3 doing here?” Sans asked the girls.
“Doing what we think is right,” Lucida replied.
“You’re...girls. You can’t fight.” Verdana said. “You should go back to your house. We’ll handle this.”
“You wanna fight us?!” Helvetica angrily asked.
“Pfft...fight you?! What a joke.”
“GUYS! Can’t you see what’s happening here?! We’re being attacked! Stop fighting. Ladies, please go back home. We have this under control.” Serif was the more sensible out of the 3 princes. Myriad, the eldest of the sisters, gestured them away from the now torn down wall.
The knights fought with all their strength. They used spears, bows and arrows, and most of all, their swords and shields. The dragons used fire against them, whereas the giants used earth. Their weapons were made out of the finest metals in the country, and were enchanted so that they could resist magic. Serif hurtled a spear towards the last giant. Slice. Right through it’s chest. But it didn’t die instantly. It first threw the spear back towards Verdana. And then it fell to the ground, along with its 5 other friends. The ground shook as it hit the ground.
It gained speed as it streaked towards him. And then out of nowhere, a sword came out and hit the spear, breaking its path towards the prince. Helvetica walked out from behind a building to the side of them.
“Oh. My. God. I cannot believe you just saved me,” Verdana said.
“Your welcome…” Helvetica replied sarcastically.
“Oh right. Thanks.”
“Your welcome…”
The 3 knights went to the 3 blacksmith’s daughters house. They got to know each other very well, and had a liking for each other. Sans felt like Myriad had a lot in common with him, Verdana spent his time practising fighting against Helvetica, and Lucida and Serif both talked and talked about magic.
A few months later, they all got married, and in the end, they lived happily ever after.
Reader, there might be many questions in your mind right now. What happened to the Aster’s? What happened to their kingdom and land? Well, the truth is, no-one knows. This book is the only source of their existence and there isn’t anything about what happened after this tale. I am putting this book away now, locking it for the next to find it. I hope this tale lasts.
A/N
Assignment for making a parody of fairytale elements such as magic, sets of 3's etc... Hope you like it! Please be harsh, as it's an assignment so...yeah.

Such a cute little story! I really like how you opened the story, and ended it too. I see some other reviewers touched on some aspects, so I won't bother mentioning them. Overall, it was a fun read!
Hello, Willa!!

Here I am to review this fascinating piece of yours!!
Let me tell you first that I like to listen fairy tales and fantasy things. Now about the story...
Firstly, let us talk about the title of this short story. A title should be of appropriate length, related to the topic and should be catchy. I am very happy to say that your work has fulfilled all the above criterias!
Then, the theme. The theme is simple, but the way you have written everything is unique and really very nice. I loved the way you have written the plot. The story flows well. The start is very unique, and I got to read something new. The whole story held my eyes to it, and not letting to leave it in between. The story had a sweet and happy ending. The story flowed well. You have explained everything beautifully. I like how you have used different words to create various effects.
But one small nit pick:
"They supported their parent's by finding jobs around town and earning the money they all lived off."
~I think there should be no apostrophe in "Parents" in the above sentnce.
Rest, everything is really WONDERFUL!
Keep writing!
Because we all love to keep reading your stuff!!
Hahaha. That was fun to read. Sort of pointless, but at the same time that's why it was so much fun. I'm not going to review this unless you want me to, since I assume you're done with your assignment, but I'm leaving a lonely like because why not?
Hey! I'm gonna be reviewing your wonderful story
!

I saw a lot of mistakes first time I checked this out, but they seem to be fixed.. So I am running out of ideas... So I'm just going to think of as many was as I can to say "Its a good story"..
No spelling mistakes. Punctuation is good. Still, as Dracula said "Asters" doesn't need an apostrophe. I love the standard fairy tale feel to it. "but they still posed a threat to the city No one dared fight back." Missing a full stop.
That's it! Well done on this story, loved it!
Keep writing
Okay, I don't have much time so this won't be an ultra deep, right down to each letter type of review. I'll try to help you out though.

Their name was the Aster’s.
You don't need that apostrophe.
I love the introductory paragraph, it's simple (as fairy tales should be) but tells me a heck of a lot of information. I only suggest that you mention the book is all in pictures, before you say that you're turning the pictures into words.
They had 3 sons, Sans, Serif, and Verdana.
Ha ha ha ha ha. XD I love it!
They supported their family by finding jobs around town and earning the money they all lived off.
I'm typing these notes as I read, so apologies if I say something which would have made sense had I continued reading. When I read 'family', I think that these girls have all grown up and their 'family' is actually their children and husbands. I'm guessing they end up marrying the princes, right? So they don't have family yet. Try rewording it so the reader doesn't get confused.
...posed a threat to the city No one dared fight back.
You're missing a full stop.
The use of the number 3 is really clear, and I like it. You make the number seem supernatural. Which it is, I suppose, but assuming that it wasn't already, you make it seem it.
The ending was great too, just like the start. It wraps it all up simply but conclusively. So there you go. It's a lovely little fairy tale; I hope you get good feedback from the teacher!
Oh thank you!
First of all, that was really quick and I'm so grateful for that...(it's due tomorrow).
Second of all, thank you for the review! I'll fix up all the mistakes I've made.
Thank you Dracula!
