Cultural differences

In Spain for a week, just wrote this, I think it's crap but you tell me what you think :).

Cultures are different,
lives aren't the same.
Many things are all okay,
until the times change.

Why do people close their minds?
Why can't they simply see
that I am who I am,
and you are just not me.

Yes I understand
you want me to speak one way.
But to be completely honest
I don't like the things you say.

I am me, with my own life
me with my own ways.
Just because we are not alike,
should not make us afraid.

I don't tell you how to think.
I don't tell you how to speak.
So don't you dare come to me
and tell me I am weak.

I am not wrong
simply because I'm different.
If anything I am strong,
because I haven't listened.

So I will be me,
and let you be you,
all I ask of anyone
is to not tell me what to do.

You have a really nice topic there. And you executed it quite well. It was plain, yes, but I like things plain: it's easy for people (ie. me) to understand. With other topics, I'd say that they'd need imagery, but with yours I think it's fine without imagery, since the topic is quite an abstract one, you can't grasp it and say "it looks yellow". Because it doesn't.
Overall, I can't find anything to critique upon, since it's all clear and plain and I can see what you're trying to get across. I'd say it's a poem well done. :)

Hi there. I'm Lavvi and I'm here to review this today for you.

I really enjoyed this. Well, it was awesome, the topic, because so few people write about this. Everyone's about depression and love at the moment, but it was suitable, because the world is going through some very rushed international changes and all. It also represents the ignorance of some people who won't accept the middle-east especially. For example, people aren't recognizing that, sure, Afghanistan has its problems, but maybe they don't want other countries to involve themselves. And not all middle-easterns are terrorists.

Yours,
Lavvi

Hi! I'll start off by saying that your grammar is fine. No mistakes I can see in that department. However, it packed no punch. I like poetry that really effects you inside, and to be frank, yours didn't do that. Your word choice was uninteresting and a little monotomous. However, the concept is good, and it has potential.
Keep writing, sorry for the harsh critique!
