Violets- The girl with the purple eyes

PreviousNext

I would like to think you are still here now

Perhaps you are smiling upon us all

You were the one who sat in dance class

You were the one who defended a victim

But the flowers have faded and color is lost

As the violets have withered away

Perhaps somewhere you wait for us

Those who knew you for a moment

Just to say hello and share a tale

Without hate or judgment you listen well

We return to the world in need of blooms

Of more kind and kindred souls-violets.

Violets that accept red and blue.

Without discrimination or fear or hate

Who love everyone in spite of the weather

Who can take in the rain and the sunshine

Who were relaxed enough to enjoy

But were not so lax as to condone hate

When the sun shines at the end of time yes

those violets will blossom again

For now though you lie in a coffin outside

And we are alive- missing a friend

When she transformed into a butterfly, the caterpillars spoke not of her beauty, but of her weirdness. They wanted her to change back into what she always had been. But she had wings.
