Ok, bear with me on this one  ...I wrote it I while back when I did a project on Marilyn Monroe...It's very difficult to judge your own poems...I guess it's kind of twee...but I decided to share it anyway...

MARILYN

She was blonde ambition personified,
The American Dream ten times over,
Yet her life left a lot to be desired...
Life with no love...Love...
Leering faces with no consideration...
She screamed and walls caved in.

She came from the wrong side of the tracks
And didn't understand
Why they wouldn't eat.
She tried to Love,
Fucked her idols.

Dirty Politics and Hollywood.
Her skirt above her head...
Yellow cabs and New York City.

3 Marriages lacking happiness.
And she'd always panic...
So she'd swallow her pills.
If she was as Lucky as they as said,
Why did she cry?

Lateness, clocks constantly ticking...
She's Hanging On The Telephone.
"Never fuck a woman with more problems than you...".
Happy Birthday Mr President.

very good. it's delicate at first, and then takes on a more angry tone. it reflects her life well, though i suppose it could suit anyone. i adored the ending...absoultely adored it. my favorite part:

"Never fuck a woman with more problems than you...".

I hate television. I hate it as much as peanuts. But I can't stop eating peanuts.
