I can tell by the look on drivers faces That they're scared.
Why would they be frightened? Because I just got my permit yesterday. The lines on the road, seem to look the same. I've never discovered all the buttons in a car. Till today. With both hands on the wheel, and the seat up as far as it will go, I drive. My mothers screams echo throughout the car. Like some horror movie, or dramatic car wreck. But I was only driving on the wrong side of the road. No big deal. Up ahead is my first intersection. A stale green light. Then yellow. Suddenly red. Stomping on the brake, my mother jerks back against her seat belt. A evil glare is directed at me. But it wasn't my fault. The light changed too fast. Down the road we go. I press the gas pedal till we reach 60 mph. The speed sign says 45 mph. Oops, I press the brake and go a steady 35 mph after getting another evil glare from mom. Pulling into the driveway I smile over at my mother. She snatches up the keys. Back inside the house my mom pours herself a tall glass of wine. Man, I love driving.
Spoiler! :
This was just to express my feelings on driving and what my mom thinks of my driving. Thanks for reading, i'm not really looking for tons of edit stuff
That was great, i was laughing to myself all the way because I got my permit a few months ago and I can still remember my mother's temper tantrum when I went one mile over the speed limit; parents: ya love em and ya hate em. It was a really good poem, definitely different from the uber dramatic love poems about death and heartbreak. It's good to lighten things up every once in a while. Keep up the good work
Mwahaha genius!! I bet this will be my dad's reaction whenever I start driving XD. I like how some parts are long and some lines only have one word...adds to effect and emotion XD. I loved this. Can't wait to read more. Sorry I couldn't find anything grammar wise wrong and the from the Spoiler I'm not thinking you would want me to add anything in if there was XD. Haha. Good job and keep up the good work. Sayonara and Best of Wishes. Soulkana<3
