To use this for oneself (as one should surely want to):
In the upper left-hand window, replace "INSERT SPOILER HERE" with whatever spoiler you want. Then copy EVERYTHING in that upper left-hand window. Go to your submission editor (preferably after submitting a work to your fullest satisfaction) and click the little symbol in the upper left-hand corner of the editor (it looks like angle brackets with a slash through them: < / >). This will look confusing, but you should be able to find your words amidst some "p"s and angle brackets. PASTE, at the VERY TOP or VERY BOTTOM of your work, the spoiler code you copied from the website I showed you. Save, and voila! You have a spoiler.
By the way, if you edit the work after adding a spoiler, a few things get messed up and it stops working after you save. Either go back to the link and re-copy your spoiler again, or fix it yo-self. You might be able to figure it out.

onmouseover events do fire, but it seems I cannot change text and background colors... Disappointing.
