Spring Sonnet

The May Queen finally arrives,

Blooming flowers faithfully

Aided by bees in hives

‘Tis the season of emotion,

Sun´s heat glowing blissfully

Enchanting like a potion

The May Queen tries her best,

Her creations always put to test

By people who lose their trail

Some prevail

Some have failed

But no creations ever done in vain

She scavenges through empathy and sympathy,

Marvels of the valley

Equality and tyranny

Masters of inquiry

Hi! I really enjoyed this poem, and feel like it captures spring in a great way! I really enjoyed how it read and rhymed. When you say that the "May Queen" is "Aided by bees in hives," I thought that that was a really good depiction of the coming around of spring, as you don't usually hear the low hums of bees before springtime. Finally, I really like the ending, and how you used those last three sentences to tie it all up, and really end the piece well.

Great job writing this poem! I hope to read more of your works in the near future!

This is one of my first reviews and I have enjoyed reading your poem. I like the metaphor that spring is a queen of creation and she is helped by nature and the animals (like the bees) to help her with the coming of spring. As there is hardly any punctuation, it gives the poem a flow; like the May queen doesn't stop as there are no pauses to break the flow of work she is doing. However, a sonnet is a 14 line poem and this poem has 16. In future, join the lines up with semi- colons. Apart from that it's a nice poem, keep it up!

I really enjoyed this. Deffineatley links to spring. I wish I could say more but never been good at explaining why I like a certain poem but it is a poem that I would love to read to my younger siblings which is always a good sign. It has a playful nature in it in my opinion and the rhymes were really well done and creative. Great job. 9/10
