Let Me Count The Ways

In poetry

I want my fingers knotted, and
Skimming ungrazed bones.
Longing is too much for me, but
I drag it unthinkingly out.

I feel my lips tighten with drought, of
Curves and planes and and corners and
Debate how best to trick you here.
There is no poetic chase; just a sturdy wait.

My hearty wishing no match for this snowy late, but
When wrists and jaws and hips are sparse,
And I feel the lack like like a ringing toll,
A sort of inner frost,

I'll twist up in literature and linen, noting what others have said
Take to a warm postion and read about poetry instead.

Sorry if it's not, but I just thought it says the same as what you wanted to say but in a more flowing way!!
Anyway hope I helped

What holds you betwixt panic and serenity? That is, if it's not among the many querulous quagmires unfit for elaboration.
