I decided that I would write a book, although I already guessed that I wouldn't finish it. I'm known for that. Starting things, yet never ending them. How can I? How can anyone? We all know that doing so would be hypocritical because here we are, in a circle of life, with people we say hello to and goodbyes that should actually be 'see you later's, and paths that diverge. Paths that sometimes cross one another, but never end. At most, one path just leads you to another one. Even when people die, we're haunted by their memory, their photographs, the imprint they have left on our lives. So, excuse me, if I can't bring myself to end a story, because my mentality can't wrap itself around ending things that shouldn't be brought to an end.

I won't lie, I like this. But there's not enough here! I wanna here more description, more structure, more of a story. I had a little problem with some of the sentences here.

Ending things that shouldn't be brought to an end. That bugs me mainly because it's not really a conclusion to this prose. Also, your word choice is... weird. I HATE asking people to change their writing, especially by suggesting things, because its like reaching over someones shoulder and painting on their canvas. It's annoying. But, again, it's as though you're painting the sunset using only blue, and I just wanna kind of switch the shades. Take a look at your word choice there so you don't repeat the word "end" quite so much. Repetition is good for emphasis in some forms of poetry, or certain elements of prose, but here it just looks like you don't know the words.
However, what you've got here is a melting pot of metaphors and ideas, and a generally fine mix of them too. Out of ten, I give this piece a seven. Good job! Keep up the writing!
Although I'm not quite sure whether this is a sort of blog entry or introduction, I'm pretty sure I dig it. It's short and sweet, aptly describing every writer's struggle to bring things to an end in their writing. It really rang true for me, as I have ADHD and often can't quite follow through with projects.
If you do ever get around to writing that book, I'd like to read it
Hi Stygianlover! This was just a bit of short prose. Just a little bit of doodling around with a pen, for my part! I think I'm not going to finish it, keep it as it is. Hopefully, this comes off as representing the unfinished side of things. Or on the other hand, I may elaborate some more on it in the future! Things are always works in progress.
