Guardians- part 3

Hi I just wrote this and I haven't had time to read over it.There is going to be mistakes I'm sure but we are leaving for my grandparents house and I wanted to get it posted. I am super sorry if it, like, makes your eyes bleed or something...

I jumped lightly over the broken door lying on the floor and kneeled at the end of the bed. Placing my hand on the floor I tried to feel what was coming at us.

Will? Abby? Where are you guys? Are you hurt?” A frantic voice inside my head yells. I sighed heavily looking at Will, who was rolling his eyes at his overprotective sister Lizzie. He relaxed a little as he stepped into the wrecked door frame.

“Code names, Sis, code names.” Will muttered. I straightened making my way cautiously to the human sized hole in the wall.

“Oh shut up Will, just shut your big fat mouth! You know no one else could’ve heard that.” She retorted as I stole through the opening. It was dusty and I waved my hand to clear the area. I was in an old bathroom with purple walls, a moldy bathtub, and a smashed toilet. And lying face down on the floor next to the debris and covered with toilet water was a boy.

For a moment I felt something close to guilt, then I saw the image of my shredded and blood covered shirt in the mirror. I narrowed my eyes searching for a sign of attack. Not seeing anything I shuddered and gasped grabbing the sink for support as I let my enhanced senses recede.

“Whoa.” I whispered before swallowing and kneeling beside the motionless body on the floor. Carefully avoiding the water bubbling up from the floor where the pipes had been. I placed two slender fingers on his neck. Against my wishes relief flooded threw me when I felt a steady heart beat. His blond hair was matted with sweat and as I looked closer, I bit my lip nervously, blood. Lightly grabbing his shoulder I shook. I didn’t get a response so I rolled him over.

He was dressed in old blue jeans and a black ACDC shirt and looked completely human. Then I remembered the way he had moved so quickly. I turned his face towards me; I guessed he was around sixteen. Heaving a loud sigh- one of my favorite things to do, I reached out and grasped his arm. I pulled it around my shoulders and wrapped my other arm around his waist. I then drug him out the door and to the right to where the rest of my team stood.

I deposited the down for the count boy and looked at Tizzy and Casper. They were holding up another comatose person up between them. Will looked over at the boy I’d just dropped beside us.

“That’s who got the drop on us?” He shook his head and sighed as though we’d just let the world come to an end or something.

“Ya. I think we’re losing our touch Will.” I said as I took a step closer to Lizzie and Jamie. Blood was dripping from Lizzie’s nose and one of Jamie’s eyes was beginning to swell and discolor slightly. I raised my eyebrows as I looked at the girl they held up between them. I turned meeting Will’s blue eyes.

“Least we don’t get beaten up by little girls huh Jinx?” He said laughing. I snickered as both of them shot him evil glares that were only somewhat diminished by Jamie’s squinty eye.

“Whatever you moron, she’s a shifter.” Lizzie said pursing her lips as she jabbed her free hand’s finger at him.

“Ya Sparky you dope. Besides she was waiting for us.” Jamie argued putting her free hand on her hip and tapping her foot.

“Enough. How bad are you guys injured?” I asked them. They all looked down at themselves as though just realizing how bad we looked. With their ripped shirts, tangled hair and bloody faces.

“Not bad.” Jamie said as she absentmindedly rubbed her sore cheek and eye.

“I’m perfectly fine.” Was Lizzie’s reply even though she was favoring her left leg and blood was still flowing from her nose.

“Nothing I can’t handle.” Will answered toughly when I knew the back of his head was bleeding and he had cuts on his shoulder where he had crashed into the dresser.

They all spoke at the same time and I shook my head sighing. I reached down and turned the girls face up towards me. She was very pretty and looked to be about fifteen. High cheekbones and dark eyebrows gave her an almost exotic look and her dark eyelashes where so thick they cast shadows on her cheeks. Her short stylish hair was a ginger color and very messy. She also looked completely human.

“Let’s get back to the truck and wake’em up.” I looked at Will and he nodded. He strode over to the boy grunting as he threw him over his shoulder.

“Heavier than he looks.” He said as his nose wrinkled. “What is that smell?” He asked and I laughed evilly remembering all the sewer water covering him. Will looked at me funny as he wrapped his other arm around my shoulders as I linked arms with Jamie.

“Alright then.” When said as he closed his eyes. I felt my stomach turn and I could feel a something pulling me. Then we were stumbling on our unsteady legs as we landed by Colton’s car.

“Whoa…” I heard Jamie say as I shook my head straightening up trying to look like I hadn’t been affected. It almost worked but at the last minute I glanced over at Will, who had just teleported us. He had on a crooked grin and then he winked at me and my still slightly wobbly legs. Stupid teleporter.
