The Chinese Pistache tree shows forth the greatest handiwork of its Creator during the bitter days of fall.
At the slightest breath of autumn, she will awaken; the shortening days and chilly winds seeming to restore new life into her very soul. Dark leaves of green blush crimson in the setting sun, and golden blades glow brightly among patches of orange and purple.
She stands proud during these cool and overcast days on a tough but slender trunk. The coarse hardwood and knobby branches bear witness to her former self: a skinny, frail tree with haphazard clumps of dull foliage attached to three pointed arms. An "Ugly Duckling" the landscapers called her.
But now she is full, resplendent in the evening. It is as if she is a sinner made new in Christ. Her knobby branches curve up to the sky, and wave ever so gently in the breeze, as if she worships her Creator, praises the God who so perfectly formed her.
She is an Ugly Duckling no more.

Hi J here for a review.
Well first off thanks for malting this tree known unto me, I don't think I even knew what this tree was until now. But anyway on with the review. I found your easy intriguing and informative. Your competitive were great and I found minimal grammar issues. And I'm not sure if this is something you should fix because it does add something to your peice, but usually you refer to non living objects like trees as it. You referred to it as a she or her. Like I said don't fix it because it does some thing for your writing that not very many writers use.
Good Job and Keep Writing!!
Thanks for the review!
Yes, I was hoping to add more to the piece by referring to the tree as a "she" - I wasn't sure if it worked out too well, but I'm glad you liked it.
Thanks for familiarizing me with this tree. You describe the difference between its former appearance and its new one very well. I was familiar with the Japanese Cherry Blossom Trees since they were planed in a public park in Newark New Jersey where I lived for nine years.
But I had never heard of this one. Nice comparison of the transformation that a person undergoes when the person turns away from sin and becomes genuine Christian. Jesus did compare people to trees and thee fruitage to the way people behaved. I say genuine because some merely claim Christianity but don't really put on the Lord Jesus Christ by following his example.
Observation: I noticed that you refer to the tree as a she and a "her". Now in Spanish we do refer to objects as she or a he. But in English we refer to non-living things with the pronoun "ït""so a reader will pause whenever he comes to the "she" reference. So if the writer doesn't want the reader to pause and wonder whenever that is done an "it" will be used instead.
Thanks for sharing this very interesting and up building biblical message.
Thank you for the review!
I'm glad to make this tree more known. ( :
