I wrote this to fit a couple of time signatures and metres. the first section...(Ceasless---until rationale is to fit a 5/4 time signature, the rest can go with a lax 6/8 or a rushed 4/4. A lot of emphasys
on syllables.) This is my first post enjoy...

Abate…my mind…and it’s hunger!

I can’t wake from this
Monogenetic
Continuation

It appears
The eminence of a moral code is gone!

Recapitulate
The implicit facts
Of my existence

It contradicts
The absolute, and betrays my rationale

Ignis Fatuus!
Disillusion!
Disparity!
This is my kingdom and I’ll never need to heed your words!

Equidistant realm in between governed possibilities and sleep
No return!
Promulgate my Law to this place, disinheriting the human race
Watch it burn!
Apostatize into this new regime, differentiate the bull from sheep
No return!
Strengthening my omnipotence, affirmation of my dissidence
Create just to watch this burn!

My mind will never let me leave!
Between the devil and the deep blue sea
Bound to live out this surreal dream

Way, way back in the 1988 Presidential election, then Vice President George H W Bush had a phrase he liked to use: "A Thousand Points of Light." It refers to the idea that a community is made up of people who contribute in a thousand, different small ways, but with each helping to illuminate their community. It's a phrase I think about a lot when it comes to YWS. Looking forward, the site will continue to change and grow, but it will always remain a community dedicated to promoting creative writing as a favorite pastime.
