I want to be among the brazen,
like the war heroes, brandishing hearts
of the deepest purple hue and scars
to remind them of how they grew.
I want to be the next Ghandi,
fighting fights with peace and
with my name written forever
on the growing pages in the book
of this world's messed-up history.
I want to be like Mark Twain,
ticking fast like a broken clock,
so far ahead of my crappy time.
Like those dogs who guide the blind,
like the firemen who stayed behind
to fight the world in their last breaths,
to be remembered above the rest.
Maybe one of those tragic heroes,
Helmuth Hubener or Prim Everdeen,
who changes the world while breathing
their very last breath.
I want to walk through time,
to inspire dreams and provoke all
to live among the brazen.

Hello there!
First off, I think that this is an awesome piece. The overall message that you portray is one that I think practically everyone can identify with: the want to inspire the world and change it in one way or another. The overall feeling of this piece was great as well; it was full of hope but still confronted the way that this messed up world is sometimes.
Although this wasn't a stanza that stood out to me the first time that I read this poem, when I went back over it, I realized that this is probably my favorite part of the entire thing. Scars are something that I both resent and treasure because they remind me of ways that I've been hurt but they also remind me of ways that I've grown. You expressed this message in a beautifully clear way.
I'm not exactly sure how I feel about this part of the poem. I'm not crazy about the third line; there's something about the word 'crappy' that doesn't fit together with rest of your poem, at least, for me.
All in all, great work!!! Always keep writing!

Great job on this work. I've always been a big fan of short poems, not only because they're easy to read and review (hahaha), but because they can be difficult to write and get your idea across. I felt this presented your idea quite adequately. It certainly couldn't hurt to add a little more, but it wouldn't be bad if you didn't.
