Echoes of a broken heart,
And memories of a friend.
Hot sparks of a young romance
Bore flame upon the end.
Kisses so tender and sweet,
Embraces, oh, so warm.
You said you would stay with me,
And keep me safe from harm.
Lately I've been thinking of you,
Thinking more and more.
We could have gone forever, babe,
Of that, I'm very sure.
Being here without you, now,
It hurts me very deep.
But God won't give you back to me,
So I'll sit here and weep.

This poem makes my heart soften and my smile spread. (: It is very sweet good job(:!
Awwww! This is a really touching poem! It's short, sweet, and well written. I must commend you for rhyming. Although it's not always necessary to make a good piece, you worked well with the words, so that it rhymes, while not sounjding forced. Nice work!
My favorite stanza is
I definately like that one the best. I can't really explain why.
