So short yet long
Ago, we were free
To be ourselves,
Whoever we wanted

Now, a mask is put on
We are what they say,
Our true selves look gone,
Lost in the sway

Nobodies’ toy

To who we were

To the whole wide world

That stranger knew you
Just as a child
