Skidia Forever, Chapter Six: The Mirror Twin's Reign

“Do you think that it looks normal?” Luster inquired looking at the house. Skidia shrugged.

“I don’t know.” She muttered, Lily blinked innocently at Luster who sighed.

“Man, it doesn’t look right.” Luster groaned and sat on the last step of the staircase. Lily joined him and laid her head on his shoulder as her buried his head into his hands. Skidia just stood there looking at Luster and Lily in a weird way.

“Luster, I’m going to be gone for a day or so alright?” Skidia finally said. Lily and Luster looked up at the same time.

“Why?”

“I need to fix my little capsule so it could be use for battle like a mini battleship. Also I’m giving you a weapon to protect yourself with. Here, this is a battle blade. See this red gem glows brightly when it is full powered. When it is about to run completely out of energy it will flicker on and off before the blade shatters into many pieces. To power it put this device on the gem and let it absorb the energy that is generated from the device.” Skidia explained while pointing to the parts of the sword and handed Luster the power up device.

“Wow, this looks neat, and is here how you fold it up?” Luster asked as he clicked a switch and it quickly folded in with a clicking sound.

“Yeah but the more advanced battle blade will be more advanced with lights and it isn’t so loud when it folds.” Skidia explained. Luster nodded and placed both things on the thick carpet. Lily examined them but didn’t dare to touch it in fear of getting hurt.

“Don’t worry Lily; it can’t hurt you if it’s folded up like this.” Luster said holding up the weapon.

“I guess now I can’t keep secrets from your little sister.” Skidia said as she eyed Lily who stared at her.

“Yeah I guess, but what about all of the other eleven heirs? What should I do when I encounter one?” Luster questioned. Skidia thought for a moment before answering.

“I guess if it’s a weak one and you think that you can handle it then I guess you should try and confront it but if it’s too strong then just ignore it and try to find Techo, I can’t leave him in your house but try to find him in the alleys, he loves running around there.”

“But why try to find Techo? What can he do?”

“He did call me to save you from Yanka and I’ll tell him to send a message to me.” Skidia answered.

“Okay, but how will I know if it’s another one of the heirs? Maybe it’s that shape shifting dude, Cohray.” Luster inquired as he placed the battle blade onto a small table next to the staircase.

“Be on a lookout for anything or anyone that’s suspicious alright? Don’t trust anyone at school.” Skidia responded with a serious tone in her voice.

“Alright.” Luster muttered.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

“Yes! I’m not late today!” Luster smiled and checked his backpack for everything that he needed. He then zipped up his backpack and walked around the populated school yard. His eyes laid on two girls in extremely light purple dresses with long sleeves. They looked like twins and had short lavender hair that went slightly beyond their shoulders. The girls’ skin was extremely pale and they wore white sandals and each carried a mirror in their arms. They stood in the corners of the yard so no one noticed them except for Luster. One of them saw Luster and whispered to the other and then they walked away slowly. Luster thought that they did look sort of suspicious so he raced after them. While he was he took out his battle blade that was in his pocket and he held it in his hand. When he stopped he found himself staring at the two girls both in trees.

Then there was a large gust of wind and Luster saw that one of the mirrors glowed and then Skidia stepped from behind him.

“Kai, I have him now in my grasp.” She said as she lunged for Luster who rolled away.

“Skidia!” he cried out but she kept on attacking him. Then when he tried to push her away his hand went right through her and she seemed to get all wispy and blurry. Luster tugged his hand away from her and unfolded his battle blade. It shined in the early sunlight. The one named Kai turned and she then stopped her mirror from glowing and then Skidia merely disappeared.

“Kincha, you know what to do.” She whispered and the other one’s mirror started to glow. Luster didn’t want another illusion to form so he ran toward them with his battle blade out and ready to strike. When his blade was being swung a purplish barrier formed and it repelled the blade, he and the blade crashed backward and he groaned.

“What? She can create barriers and the other one illusions?” he cried as he held his blade firmly.

“Your attempts will not affect us.” Kincha murmured in a soft voice he tried again but the barrier did not weaken.

“You cannot weaken her barriers.” Kai said, Luster then saw that her mirror was glowing too!

“Please, no more illusions.” He whined as several raptors appeared before his eyes.

“You can make illusion dinosaurs?!” he yelped as one tried to nip at him. He swung his blade madly and struck a few of the raptors who then collapsed and disappeared into nothing.

“How come these are solid and can actually attack me while the other illusion of Skidia was actually nothing?!” Luster shouted as he drove his blade into one of the raptor’s neck. It squealed but then faded away. Luster didn’t like the idea of killing them but he knew that it must be done so he could survive. Then Kai took out a spare glowing mirror and she placed it on a tree trunk and Kincha formed a small barrier around it. After that they both walked away calmly. Luster yelled at them to come back but they didn’t listen to any of his words. So Luster was kept busy by raptors and they kept on appearing he thought that this would take forever so he saw the mirror and he charged at it. The raptors were coming out of it so why not destroy the place where all of them were coming out of so he struck it but it did not break. It took Luster a few moments to realize his mistake. He hadn’t seen the barrier around it so he had struck that instead.

Just then the raptors caught up to him so he clambered onto the tree and waved his sword around crazily. He wondered if he would ever get out of this mess when an idea popped into his head. If the barrier allowed the raptors to get out and when they get destroyed the small bits of them flow through the barrier and into the mirror again then what if he let the raptors attack the mirror for him. He then jumped down from the tree and called out to the raptors.

“Hey, you want to come and get me? Then come right at me then you stupid oversized lizards!” Luster taunted as he waved his blade. He stood right in front of the barrier. One of the raptors hissed and charged straight for him. He then rolled aside and when the raptor was entering the barrier he took this chance to break the mirror. He used his battle blade and stabbed it at the back of the raptor, the blade slowly traveled through the body that was entering the barrier and he jabbed it even further and then it stabbed at the mirror.

“Yes!” Luster cried out. The mirror exploded and the raptors hissed angrily. Then the remaining parts of the mirror came together and formed a churning black vortex thing that started to suck up everything.

“What?!” he cried out as he clung on helplessly onto a tree branch. The raptors were being sucked up and then Techo came speeding in, he moved slowly since he didn’t want to get sucked up. He then extracted a small cylinder and tossed it into the black hole with a mechanical arm and then the entire hole stopped and then closed. Luster walked over to Techo.

“Thanks Tec-“he stopped as he collapsed onto the nature littered ground.
