Where the World Met the Sea

E - Everyone
She stood on the edge where the world met the sea,
see above her as birds glide carefree,
carefree as the waves crashing below on the shore,
sure as their feet on the forest floor,
floor where their foolish hearts unfurled.

Down its tangled path they'd go,
go where no one else would know,
know they should know okay from worse,
worse were the trees around them cursed,
cursed to keep their lips shut tight.

The trees shuddered out from eternal sleep,
sleep no more did the sky as it began to weep,
weep it did for the leaves as they bowed down,
down it poured as chains were unbound,
unbound as two became one.

Promises whispered upon the wind,
wind that now held the secrets of the sinned,
sinned breeze to the birds its power it lent,
lent so above and away they were sent
sent far and free from the place where two hearts met the sea.

Wow, the way that this was written is, well, ingenious! The fact that you started each following sentence with the word that ended the before sentence or a word similar was pretty cool. And also while you were doing this explaining how the sea and the world were connected, this leaves me breathless. And wait, there's more, you rhymed it! The word used were very wonderful when it came to imagery, the only thing I have a problem with is the fact that this seemed a little unorganized. That's all really, this was spectacular.

Hello! I am here to give you a review! First things first, I would like to say that your title really drew me into wanting to read this piece. I would also like to say that holy crap I absolutely adore this piece!! It is beautiful and unique and the way you wrote it was simply amazing!

The only problem I had with it was how you ended and began your lines. You would end with a comma, then begin with a capital. Now, because of the way it is written, I think only the first word in each stanza should be capitalized and still end with commas. I did also get a little confused reading it through the first time, I had to reread it slowly to understand and to capture it's true beauty.

The next thing I did notice, was that all your stanzas had five lines, except for the last one. I loved the last stanza, it had to be my favorite of all. But I do think you should try to fit another line in there somewhere with it still ending with the same line. Having the same line with a little twist be the beginning and ending of your piece really pulled it all together. Like, a ballet slipper, being laced up a young ballerina's leg, tying at the top with a perfect pink bow.

This piece was amazing, I can't express how much I loved it. I hope to see more, I am not following you, this was just too much to let it slip by!
