I Remember.

Forever and a day, the world and his wife cried.
The apple of my eye died.

I chose to forget you
Because it was all I could do to remember

Even the memories of December-
You proposed and you cried.
I cried too.
I cried for you.

Some things we never do disclose to our dearest,
Nor our nearest.
A selfless good deed don't they call it?

So selfless that it's here for all eyes to see.
I'd rather your eyes saw me.

Whoah it took me two reads to get the full message, but it was really beautiful. And very true.

So selfless that it's her for all eyes to see.
I'd rather your eyes saw me.

I like that line alot. It struck me as really heartfelt.

I really loved this poem.

Great
