Hi,
I see your new here, so I'll try not to be too harsh :) I'm going to critic your story in the document then re-post it here, so you can see what I've fixed!

Also, YWS has a 1 to 2 ratio. For every post you make, you have to have 2 reviews.

A Time for Change

School was always a drag for me. The waking up so early in the morning and then sitting through the day, listening to teachers, it was all stupid. I just hated the thought of getting up five days out of every morning and heading to that dreaded school. So I decided to go. I wanted to leave; just go somewhere no one would know me, where no one could find me.
The night of September third, 2006 was when I packed my bags and headed away to a place that nobody could find me. At the time I was sixteen years old. I had just gotten my license and was fired up. I didn’t want to be there anymore, where the kids were all mean and just didn’t understand. After all, I was no ordinary teenage boy.
Something in me, something unusual, was happening. I didn’t really understand what was making me feel so unappreciated and disliked. It was always me that got the teachers attention when someone else was doing something wrong. It all made me so mad; I just needed to leave, to get away from this place of horror.
The night I left, I had taken all my savings with me from work and my allowance. I had approximately fifteen thousand dollars in my pocket and my bag of belongings. I had packed all my stuff in two suitcases. This included my clothes, books, toiletries, and music. I was headed out and had no idea where I was going.
I got in my green Subaru and started to drive. It was early on a Saturday morning, about six AM. At the moment I was in my hometown of Concord, New Hampshire. I had a slight idea of where I was going but I wasn’t quite sure. When I reached Canada it was about eight thirty. I was in Ottawa at the time, having a place I knew I could go to.
I was going to go to Alaska. I had no idea why I chose to go there but it just seemed like there nobody would be find me. By the time I actually reached the outskirts of Alaska, it was dark and I could hardly see. I came to a little town by the name of Angoon. It seemed to be a very small town; the houses spread apart by miles and the roads made of dirt.
I came to a place with its bright homey lights on. I didn’t know if I should get out or not. I needed a place to stay so I finally decided to get out. I reached the door, ready to knock, when the door opened. An old woman was standing there, her bright blue eyes gazing up at me. Then her little mouth opened and said,
“Hello there, how may I help you?”
I was surprised by the welcoming voice she had. I didn’t know quite what to say but I had to reply so I said,
“Hi, I’m Roland. I don’t have a place to stay and there seems that you don’t have any kind of hotels here. I was just wondering if you knew the closes town that might have somewhere I can stay.”
The old woman looked at me with her big blue eyes in way that implied that I was crazy. Her quiet voice spoke saying, “Oh nonsense! You will stay with us for the night. My husband and I have an extra room to spare, don’t you worry.”
“I don’t think you understand,” I replied, “I need a place to stay for awhile. I’m sure you don’t want some boy in your house for a few months or even years now do you?” She looked at me again, her head tilted to the side, looking confused.
“Well,” the little woman said, “We will take you in until you can find another place to stay. I believe there is a little house for sale just down the way from us. I think it’s selling for around $500. Do you think you can afford that?”

I hope that helps!

PM me if you need anything.

Love,
N
