Here's a poem I feel we all can relate to.

I am a writer,
no matter what you say.
Words flow from my pen,
like blood flows from my heart.

Inspiration keeps me up till three in the morning,
napkins have became the same as paper.
Words I dare not speak,
are written without hesitation.

Writers block is hell,
and an ink less pen is the devil.
Creativity has it's own mind,
coming and going as it prefers.

Publication is terrifying,
opening my heart to the critical world.
A pen in my hand,
is like a sword in a hero's.

Through words I will change the world,
because that what writers do.
Out of blank paper and pens,
we create.

Please review, but tell me your thought on the ending especially. I added the last two lines right before I published this and I'm not sure if it flows nicely. Originally it was just, "Through words I will change the world,
because that what writers do.", but i wanted to make a complete stanza and I'm not entirely sure if it fits. Also feel free to tell me about any grammar mistakes, they only make me better.
Do your worst :D

Hey there dearie! Welcome to YWS!

Okay lets get down to it!

Words flow from my pen,
as blood flows from my heart.
I added the as because it just seems more poetic than like. Like is so 6th grade. :smt002

Inspiration keeps me up all night,
napkins are my paper.
I just added those in instead of the longer phases. Saves you syllables. :D

and an inkless pen is the devil.
Creativity has its own mind,
Make sure to check your work! Inkless is one word, and it's means 'it is'.

Out of blank paper and pens,
we create.
:D I love this line! Perfect way to end the poem!

Well all in all, very good poem with only a few mistakes! Keep up the good work! :)

In the YWS rules that I've read thrice over, it says when posting about someone's poem and/or story, you have to give criticism. But they don't tell you what to do in this kind of situation- how do you criticize perfection? I can relate with every word of it. Awesome poem!
