I love 'Writers Block'. It's imaginative, defined, beautiful and really really great. The best thing about this is your actually using something which initially was stopping you. I love the way you started the poem with a definitely successful end...

May you have more writer's block and we get to read your wonderful poems...hahaha :-) :-)

Hi! I'm very new to reviewing so forgive me if this seems silly. First, I don't really like the second line. "Creatively blind." I don't know quite how to picture this. It's just a little strange to me. I feel a bit that when you went from creatively blind to stumbling in a hurricane of letters to my mind blocks my heart that this was a little jumpy. I'd have liked to see a bit more about each line. Otherwise, I like the flow of the rest of this piece and I think you did very well. :) Awesome job, congratulations on getting your work featured!

Okay, this has been nitpicked to death, so the only thing I can really say is that I love this. This is amazing for someone writing on writer's block. I wish I could produce stuff like this when I can't think of anything to write!

I love it! The idea is really good and well developed and the imagery really draws the reader in. The way you varied your sentences created a sense of flow. Also, I like the sections where you use one word and then a longer sentence but careful not to over do it. And perhaps divide the poem into stanzas so each section can be more emphasised upon. I really like the theme and the way you built upon it throughout the piece. I love the way the poem finishes:

"Smiling
I chuckle at the scowling letters
That's much better, I murmmer"

Despite the fact it should be "murmur", I like the gentle sense of satisfaction in the words and this rubs off on the reader :) Great job, keep it up! xXx

Hi there. :)

Nitpicks:

Its just writing, they say
Its much more than that

- Correction: 'It's'

That's much better, I murmmer

- Correction: 'murmur'
- Also, it's more correct if you put 'That's much better' in quotation marks. :)

- - - - - - -

Sorry that this review isn't really helpful. >.< Anyway, I like this poem. :) I like the simplicity, and I appreciate the imagery you inserted here and there. :smt023 Nice topic too and nice job on writing while having a writer's block. :D

Never stop writing! ;)

Hey Lele, I love this. I really do :) This is your best poem so far and you should feel very proud of it! I could never write poetry, and you seem to have both the talent and passion required for it.

My favorite thing about this is how you stuck to the one theme. In your other poems I've read, I got the feeling that you were drifting off topic and they would be a bit hard to follow. This one, however, was very creative and at the same time very focused. Here were my favorite parts:

My imagery has left me
I'm creatively blind

Surviving
Has left me
Battered and crazy

My friends laugh
Its just writing, they say
Its much more than that
I know it
They know it

They veer to the right
I block them
Catching them in the veins of ink in my pen

Keep it up, Lele! I'm rooting for you! :D

The reason that I don't use grammar is because I think, in my taste, the poem flows better. Periods only make you stop and then go. But I want the person reading my poem to read how he or she thinks it should be read. Thats why I don't use any type of grammar.

Well I absolutely love this piece! I can really connect with it considering how I can sit at a blank document for hours and hit backspace more times than I can count. I actually wrote this story diminishing the white word document on my computer screen, I might just post it and I would love for you to read it if I do. I believe all of the miniscule grammar mistakes have been pointed out, but keep writing so I can keep reading. Also, just a tiny thing, the pattern of occasional one line with one word might want to be individualized a bit more, so the piece doesn’t look so squished together. :D

Grammar is absolutely everything if you're willing to brave public scrutiny. That will be the VERY first thing they point out. If they don't like the way it's written, the won't enjoy reading it. They will find you lazy.

My imagery has left me
I'm creatively blind
Stumbling in a hurricane of letters
They laugh at me
My mind blocks my heart
Every word that comes
No emotion
The story that hides behind words
Worthless
My only way of living
Surviving
Has left me
Battered and crazy <- Not sure if I would use this word; try another synonym.
On the streets of insanity
My friends laugh
It's just writing, they say
It's much more than that
I know it
They know it
And as I walk in the maze
The maze of shattered ideas
And incomplete sentences
I stumble across that one
The one
The one that you know will pull you out "Get" isn't an ideal choice for such an intense poem
I grab it, strangle it Keep tenses constant
Never wanting to let the words go
They veer to the right
I block them
Catching them in the veins of the ink in my pen
I watch them stream out
Flowing
Dancing letters
The letters become words
The words become sentences
The sentences become paragraphs
Smiling
I chuckle at the scowling letters
'b]"That's much better"[/b}, I mummer Even in a poem, if you're going to use dialogue, couple it with quotes

The piece as a whole is astounding, and could easily be related with. All writers have experienced the annoying threat of writers' block. Your poem has so much potential, and nicely written- with the few errors I pointed out. Just watch yourself next time, alright?

A very creative idea, despite you being "Creatively blind." ;) (That was also my favourite line).
I don't know much about the structure of poetry, so if I correct some grammar issues, and they don't apply to poetry, just ignore me. :D I'll try not to repeat anything mentioned in the above reviews, and if I do, I apologize in advance. :)
Because you can easily separate this into different ideas, you might consider breaking it into stanzas just to make it easier to read.
Grammar is in red.
Other stuf is in the purplish colour.

My imagery has left meperiod here
I'm creatively blindcomma here
Stumbling in a hurricane of lettersPeriod here. Basically, use the same punctuation you would in prose.I think some poets do some strange things with punctuation, but I personally would follow the grammar rules. :D
They laugh at me
My mind blocks my heartThis three lines, "My mind...emotion" felt sort of awkward to me. I wanted them to be a single thought, but I'm not sure that they were. I like the idea here, but I think you might consider rewording the second two lines. Maybe, "Each word that comes/ emotionless." I know it sounds the same, but just those couple of word changes sort of clarified it (maybe only in my mind, but you can play with it).
Every word that comes
No emotion
The story that hides behind wordsYes! Great line. :D
Worthless
My only way of livingAs it is, this line is a little overly-dramatic for my taste. I'm sure you can live through writer's block. ;) I don't think you should take this out completely, but you might think about saying it in a different way. It's entirely your call, of course.
SurvivingThis sort of confused me. Has surviving left you battered and crazy, or does "surviving" belong to the previous line?
Has left me
Battered and crazy
On the streets of insanity
My friends laugh
"It's just writing", they sayIf you can replace the word with "It is," then you need an apostrophe (It's). If it shows possession, i.e. Its sail was blowing, then you don't have an apostrophe.
Its much more than that
I know it
They know itWhy are they laughing if they know how important it is?
And as I walk in the maze
The maze of shattered ideas
And incomplete sentences
I stumble across that one
The one
The one that you know will get you out
I grab it, strangling it
Never wanting to let the words go
They veer to the right
I block them
Catching them in the veins of ink in my pen
I watch them stream out
Flowing
Dancing letters
The letters become wordsVery nicely done in these next three lines.
The words become sentences
The sentences become paragraphs
Smiling
I chuckle at the scowling letters
That's much better, I mummer

I really enjoyed this poem. I think we all can relate. :) You use a lot a participles. They were used correctly and well, but I think you might have just a couple too many. Switch your syntax around a little. I think this poem has really great potential! Happy writing. :D
If you have any questions, you know where to find me. Best wishes,

WOW! I think I tried one time when I had writer's block to write a story about a girl with writer's block...eh...no it didn't go passed the first line. It was great that you could do this. I think we can all relate to it. The mistakes have alerady been pointed out I think so all I can say is good job and keep up the great work!

xD This was definitely entertaining, very well written. I'm sure writer's block will go running from you, now.

I did find a few small mistakes here and there...

That's much better, I mummer (I think you mean murmur? Also, you might want to add quotations around "That's much better")

I stumble across that one
The one
The one
that you know will get you out (I found this a bit redundant. Get rid of 'that one' in the first line, leave the rest, and it'll be better)

Again, good job, I can seriously relate to this. You only made small mistakes, which I suppose is understandable considering you're writing on writer's block. ;)

I absolutely loved this line -
I'm creatively blind
