Blank Page
A blank page is daunting
Like starring down a gun's barrel
It makes your heart flutter
And your mind race
You can visualize the words
Inky words that spout from pen tips
And trickle down your arm
The familiar rhythm of spirals
And arches
Flow across the page
From margin
To crimson margin
As beautiful as velvet waves
Lapping against a pale shore
And soon its wonder is revealed
An elaborate statue
Sculpted from colorless marble
A blank page may be daunting
But to the trained eye
It's nothing more
Than an unpainted canvas
Waiting to be turned
Into flawless art

Thank you to all who have reviewed this. When I wrote this poem it started off as an essay and slowly became a poem. This is one of the many poems that I have that I love to read. It's even funnier because people ask me who who wrote it and are shocked when I tell them I did.
Thanks for your compliments and critique. Look forward to more of it
I really like this poem, it is really good.

So, Overall, this is really good! You may want to consider adding puncuation though, just to make it make it easier to read...
Hope this helps,

Very nice. Any writer could relate to this. I've been wondering if someone brings words forth like I do. You do, I can picture you with the poetic energy infront of your computer, wanting to write but not finding the words until the though comes about the blank page and the letters in your mind start forming words that for sentences that you have to rush to type and pray your fast enough because once their gone, their hell to get back.
Very nice work. I liked the imagery, how I can see everything play out in my head like a movie. Wonderful.
Keep it up.

This is neat. It really does express what it is like for some people before they begin writing, or even drawing for that matter (like me).
I especially like this stanza, very descriptive and great diction.
The last line in the first stanza kind of stopped me in my tracks while reading; I don't know if that was what you were going for..
Very nice!
It's funny, when I click on this, I thought it was a joke, an actually blank page, but the poem is way better. Anyway, I really like it, the feelings that you've put into it. I really like the image you've created, and it brings up a true point. I like that last stanza.
