The Identity Crisis

This poem was inspired by this quote:
"To be nobody but yourself in a world which is doing its best, night and day, to make you like everybodt else, is to fight the hardest battle any human being can fight, and never stop fighting." -E.E. Cummings

The Identity Crisis

Imagine yourself here,
As a raw piece of clay,
Just sitting there on the table,
No shape in any way.

Many people will try to mold you,
But resist, do not give way,
Because you as your own person,
Is important in every single way.

Mold yourself into someone,
Who you are proud to be,
Shape yourself into something,
That you are not afraid to see.

Don't let this world influence you,
As you're becoming who you want to be,
Don't let them take the clay from you,
And mold your entire identity.

you as your own person
is important in every single way

this line is ment to say "is" not "are" because it's not talking about a person its saying your identity IS important

Hi! Great poem! I really liked the message therein and the final stanza was my favorite. Here's a quick nitpick

Imagine yourself here,
As a raw piece of clay,
Just sitting there on the table,
No shape in any way.

Many people will try to mold you,
But resist, do not give way, (it isn't necessary to say "the" there)
Because you as your own person,
Are important in every single way.

Mold yourself into someone,
Who you are proud to be,
Shape yourself into something,
That you are not afraid to see.

Don't let this world influence you,

**I really liked the message of the poem, but make sure your pronouns and verbs are matched correctly - "because you as your own person are important in every single way." Other than that, I thought it was great. Good work, and nice message.
