I want to add more, but not sure how without it being too corny with the rhymes. Please give input (unfortunately, this poem is true)...

What use do I have?

What use to I have for someone like you?
Two-faced back stabber, you are through.
I don’t like to hear things about my family that are not true,
Why can’t you defend me and my family, you’re so rude.
Sitting there and agreeing with wrong things you hear,
Is just like you said them yourself, I want to shed a tear.
It makes me so angry fighting from the inside out,
I’m tired of holding in the hurt, now there is no doubt.
I have no doubt I have no use for you.
This sadly, I must say is true.
My own flesh and blood, can’t stand up for me,
So just go on your marry way and let us be.
You go your way and I’ll go mine,
Without you in our lives, we will be just fine.

You did a great job with this poem. I think this does a great job of expressing emotion. I love the idea of the rhyme scheme, but I think it takes away from the meaning of the poetry itself. Your ideas could be much clearer if you changed the rhyme scheme, or took it out completely. If you want to add another stanza, you could make it a different, more subtle rhyme scheme. I think this poem was really well written. Great job, keep on writing!

Inspiration usually comes during work, rather than before it.
