The view of Borderline personality disorder.

Borderline personality disorder.

A wildfire, which everyone else sees as a small bush fire, putting itself out in minutes, not edging on for weeks as it clears out a forest.

You say the sky is blue, no I argue the sky is purple. You laugh thinking I'm just making a joke, yet really you just threw at a match at dry kindling.

They hate me the voice in my head says, yet I laugh along with them. I'm the same as them, no differences between us.

I'm as fine as can be is all the eye can see, yet as soon as the door closed the shadows consume, everything in their path, and you're at the head, they're all coming after you.

The people you thought were friends they turned into the ghosts haunting, screaming in your head.

You ache for the escape, yet you're too scared to reach. So you're stuck living in an endless loop of pain no one else sees, all because outside of your head it doesn't exist. You can see that but your brain can't be changed, you know you're not right but you're being chewed and torn, shredded to bits by your own make believe versions of the world surrounding you.

So, you just cut yourself off, yet all that accomplishes is proving your thoughts right that they all hate you because no one understands to come reaching out to save you. You're drowning, the water filling your lungs, keeping you from screaming, as you wallow in your tear filled ocean.

Someone sees. Someone sees the vague light you shine, they reach in and grab you, but when you come out all the emotions washed away. The water stealing them, buring them deep within, so next time you slip or trip and sink down, they'll all be back waiting like carnivorous sharks, ready like cats, just one moment away from pouncing and devouring you whole.

You come out emotionless. Nothing feels real. You feel like you're floating through your own sky of emptiness, nothing around just a body traversing through a world you should know. You look in the mirror and the face you see seems unknown, surreal. You don't recognize yourself, as if your whole identity stripped away from that water that drowned you.

Dissociated. The word sounds like distance. The distance between you and reality as you're feeling as though you're watching your body from afar. You can't shake this feeling, that you're not who you are.

Aching, you feel the dull awakening. You're starting to feel back in yourself. Then a crash. You're back in your self. You feel like you just were dunked in ice water, everythings back and you're aware you're alive.

The dull reminder, of the bleak black you're accustomed to.

So, this was alright. Just alright. It did bring a little insight into bipolar disorder for me, but I think it needs a little more organization. For one, consider whether you want to stick to first person or second person, because that's confusing and snapped me out of the moment.

Otherwise, the metaphors were sufficient and everything was quite functional. I liked it enough. Good job.

Hi Epic here,

So I loved this. I love how relatable it is and the emotive language used is lovely. My favourite part was

"You ache for the escape, yet you're too scared to reach. So you're stuck living in an endless loop of pain no one else sees, all because outside of your head it doesn't exist."

I thought this line alone summed the poem up as a whole. How you are too scared to ask for help because no one else can see the pain.

Though some constructive criticism now.
I think that speech marks would have been appropriate for the lines

"You say the sky is blue, no I argue the sky is purple."

change this to- You say "the sky is blue,"
"No," I argue, "the sky is purple,"

and

"They hate me the voice in my head says, yet I laugh along with them."

Change this to

"They hate me," the voice in my head says, yet I laugh along with them.

I also love the alliteration at the end. I love how relatable that line could be to anyone with any kind of mental illness.

There are a few minor errors grammar wise that I'm sure you'll be able to find in a proof read.
Overall I thought this was a great poem that really made the reader relate to you.
Keep on writing, I'd love to see what else you have to write.

Please feel free to ignore my advice, it is not meant to offend you hurt you or make your poem seem bad I advise regardless of what I have prevously stated that you brace yourself for impact that said . . .

1. What I liked
I liked how this is neatly written. It was very neat and well written. I enjoyed that.

2. Flow and style
A few things don't make sense-Starting with this line

You say the sky is blue, no I argue the sky is purple. You laugh thinking I'm just making a joke, yet really you just threw at a match at dry kindling.

They hate me the voice in my head says, yet I laugh along with them. I'm the same as them, no differences between us.

First off all that no I argue the sky is purple. That doesn't make sense. Unless as WanderLustStarDust says you put those lines in commas it doesn't make any sense.
Heres what I'd do
You say the sky is blue but I say it is purple

the people you thought were friends they turned into the ghosts haunting, screaming in your head.

That they isn't needed it reads better without that. Also that haunting doesn't make sense either.

3. Encouragment
This is real good! Keep up the excellent work!

4. Overall
As I said this was good. Please continue writing.

Whoopse! Sorry about that! That isn't the real review!

Hi! Berri here for a review! (・∀・○)

This hit me right in the face with emotion and relatable wording. This shows how I feel all the time. All the time. I always feel like I'm drowning, or like I'm worth nothing in the grand scheme of things. Hiding myself away from the rest of the world seems like the only logical thing to do. Nobody wants to burden others with their emotions and thoughts. Hiding is okay.

But then, what about our friends? People we trust? Or perhaps have only trusted in the past? They worry too, and so they try to save us- but it doesn't help at all.

I needed to read this. Thank you.

But all emotion aside, this was powerful. There were a few odd things that stood out to me, though-

You say the sky is blue, no I argue the sky is purple.

They hate me the voice in my head says, yet I laugh along with them.

The people you thought were friends they turned into the ghosts haunting, screaming in your head.

There are a few things with these that made them harder to read. Here are my suggestions-

You say, "The sky is blue,"
"No," I argue, "The sky is purple."

"They hate me," the voice in my head says, yet I laugh along with them.

The people you thought were friends- they turned into the ghosts haunting you, screaming in your head.

But otherwise, nothing really stood out to me, error wise. I hope this message gets spread around <3

Keep on writing!

Berri out! ♡✧( ु•⌄• )

Also, I keep thinking your pfp is an Inkling from Splatoon haha

Thank you, like I said this was a vent, I probably should've cleaned it up a bit before posting. And my pfp is from Kakegurui!

That smells like the inside of a tropical rainforest.
