Inquiry

Fists pounded on the door of peril,
Demanding entrance to a world of foreign precariousness.
Ignorant avidity paved the way to disclosure,
Demolishing a wall of protection,
The aegis meant not for the enclosed individual,
But for those dancing unwittingly on the periphery.

The monster within,
Unleashed.
Usurping ingenuousness with nefarious inexorability,
Abating hope with implacable ascendancy.
Deadened eyes hemorrhaged with the demon's interior,
Drowning the onslought of curiosity in the blood of
Contaminated beauty.

Screams errupted with the fulgent flames of
Hatred and resentment.
The impeccant subverted by the ignition of
Perpetual destruction and ineluctibility.
Hell pulsed with assured victory
As the corpses of the discomfited lay silently
Below.

Was it worth it?
Was it worth the abandonment of all caution
Merely to satisfy selfish cravings?
Was it worth it to prod the gates of Hell,
To unleash the power of eternal damnation,
To uncover a pit of prodigious pain?

Best let lie what feeble minds cannot handle.
Best endure that which you cannot fathom,
For look at the destruction unleashed upon sanity
At such a divulgence.
The world cannot handle you,
Hell, you cannot handle you.

This is why it's best to lie quietly
Within the depths of your own mind.
This is why all doors should remain closed:
Safety in inquiry doesn't exist.

I don't think anyone needs thesaurus.com anymore thanks to you - very nice descriptive pieces and some of the lines were really powerful. I do think you dragged it out a little towards the end, and it got very dark and evil (not a bad thing), but overall it was efficacious, turbulent and pleasantly malevolent.

'Ello there,
To start off I'd like to say that overall I liked the poem.

Going into a bit of detail as to why, I'd have to admit I had to read it with the help of my handy thesaurus. So to point out the obvious I wasn't a huge fan at first. Once my vocabulary was caught up with yours though I was able to enjoy it. On the topic of the vocabulary in your poem, I noticed the first three stanzas had more complex words than the last three. Seemed rather off to me, but I enjoyed the last three stanzas more. They were easier to read and because of that they are my favorite ones.

Other than your complex vocabulary in the first three stanzas, I liked it. Just a thing to keep on mind though, not everyone has such a complex vocabulary, or a thesaurus on hand, and so you might only have a selected amount of readers.

To end this little review I'd like to say thanks for posting and for helping me grow my vocabulary.
Keep on writing. I hope to see more work from you. :)

That was amazing word choice! Sometimes i had problems understandin what you were trying to say, but I am not very good at vocabulary. :D Really good! I enjoyed it, especially the last few stanzas. I don't really have any suggestions. You had to make me think, so good job! Loved it!

here is the deepest secret nobody knows (here is the root of the root and the bud of the bud and the sky of the sky of a tree called life; which grows higher than the soul can home or mind can hide) and this is the wonder that's keeping the stars apart i carry your heart (i carry it in my heart)
