"Captain, sir, we seem to have a problem in Belt XYL in the Kelloggs galaxy."

Captain Coogle sighed and looked up at his 21 year old nervous attendant. "What," Coogle feigned annoyance, "is it?" The attendant fidgeted. And fidgeted. "What, is it already?"

"Well, sir. It has come to our attention that Belt XYL is extremely long, and has planets and planetoids arranged in series." Coogle looked up in exasperation.

"Why the hell would I care? This belt is millions of light years away and you're telling me that it is arranged in a special way? I don't really care. I am the Milky Way captain, I only asked for the Kelloggs title because it was an excuse to get a raise."

"Well, sir. I propose a name change for Belt XYL. Because it's planets and planetoids are arranged in series, the name should be the Serial Belt."

"Oy gevalt."

The government astonomical mapmaker, was a drunk. If you look in a detailed map of the skies you will see Cereal Belt, Kelloggs galaxy.

Haha.
I rather like this. It's witty and you've managed to make something rather dull, rather interesting.
The humour is subtle, I had to read it twice to fully get it, but it's there.

The bird that would soar above the level plain of tradition and prejudice must have strong wings. It is a sad spectacle to see the weaklings bruised, exhausted, fluttering back to earth.
