What if our choices do not create the future?
What if the future already exists
in some form we cannot perceive,
and every choice we make
is simply how we arrive at it?
Maybe free will is not choosing
which road to take
maybe it is the strange feeling
of discovering a road
we were always going to walk.

Your comment was posted, but it wasn’t long enough to count as a review. Reviews need about four complete sentences (at least 250 characters). Try writing another review that explains your thoughts in more detail — the author will appreciate it, and you’ll earn points for it.
Anyway, if I was always going to write this, was this comment also inevitable?

Heyy! I really liked the idea behind this. It’s short, but it makes you stop and actually think about what free will even means. The question at the beginning immediately caught my attention because it turns something we normally assume — that our choices create our future — completely upside down.
I especially liked the idea that maybe the future already exists somewhere beyond what we can perceive, and our choices are just the way we eventually reach it. That’s such a strange thought because we still feel like we're choosing, even if everything was somehow already decided.
The last part was my favorite. “The strange feeling / of discovering a road / we were always going to walk” really sums up the whole idea so simply. It almost feels like the difference between choosing your destiny and slowly discovering it.
This genuinely gave me that little “wait... what if?” feeling after reading it.
Really interesting piece. I love how you took such a huge question about free will and the future and expressed it in such a simple, understandable way. Keep writing these kinds of thoughts because they really make the reader stop and think.
