They Called Her Maid Number 3 -Chapter 1 "First Glance"

It was a caribbean blue mass collecting age I'm my closet. It was a caribbean blue chunk of silky fabric that I hated, truly hated. The caribbean blue dress, pressed between ripped jeans and ruff-less shirts, stood for everything I was against. This caribbean dress hung there on a white hanger staring at me with its rhinestone eyes, its silky middle nose, and ruffled lips. It stared at me with a hunger to be paraded around on a walking display case ((mie)) It stared at me with desire, and longing. But I just stared back, not giving in to its flawless design, I had pride and damn to much of it to be wearing some slinky dress out for the viewing world. It would be less humiliating to walk around with nothing on at all. It was the kind of dress all the girls at my school wore. Yes, they were THOSE kind of girls. The kind of girls who wore dresses like this, that cut off at the knees exposing fat legs. The kind of girls who wore dresses like this, that had a ribbon in the middle making your perfectly fine stomach look smaller and thinner. It was those kind of girls who wore dresses like this that when worn turned you into this lustful interest of sex appeal. It was the caribbean blue dress that i was forced to wear, i was forced to suck in my pride and wear it. Against my will of course...

"Anadelia are you ready?" A barbie doll of a woman pounded on my door, a barbie doll i had to call mom.

"Ya, sure gimme a minute, and my name is Mica" I yelled back, my name is truly Anadelia-Marie Sophia Micaela Carter. But who in the hell was going to say that? I preferred to be called Micaela, or Mica. It fit my personality and made my mom crazy.

I looked at the dress as it smiled back saying "I got you".

Just then a lighter hand knocked on my door, and without acceptance to enter my younger sister Hiedi came in. She looked much like my mother, a miniature barbie doll, you could tell she tried to be a rebel(( dying her hair and changing her name every other week)) but she still looked just like my mother. She came in with sparkling black sandals and a soft green dress that flowed over her body, she didn't mind dressing up. Her hair was curled for the evening and her eyes were a light green with rhinestones on the side. She smiled at me and pranced daintily toward me

"Your turn Mica." Her voice was almost like a whisper. She grabbed the dress and handed it to me. "Put it on please." She turned away from me and closed her eyes. I took off my comfortable ripped jeans and tank top and inched into my prison suit.

"Kay its on." I grumbled. Hiedi turned around and stared politely. Without a word she brushed my hair and clipped my bangs back, i wanted to protest when she brought out the eye shadow and lipstick but i knew it would not end well. She brushed over a white blanket over my eyeshadow and a nude pink over my lips. And just like that we were ready to go, go to the most snobbiest families house.

I was taught that my family had a reputation of high class to maintain. We wanted everyone to look kindly on the Carters and that meant going to all the stupid stuck up peoples parties, and smiling at stories we don't want to hear and being polite and blah blah blah. So, keeping our reputation of high class we drove up to the Pheir's house to keep mingle with the other rich families. Families all like my mother, clean and barbie like. We walked into the main room and it was as large as any ball room. Nicely dressed people dancing and talking over expensive wine and orderves.

"Oh lookie its the Carters!" Mrs. Pheir came up and greeted us, her daughter Emerald at her side. "How are you?" She smiled and hugged my mother, then turned to us. "Hello Anadelia, how are you?" She was up in my face, reeking of to much perfume and homing a little piece of spinach in between her bleached teeth.

"Very well thank you, and my name is Micaela, ma'am." I smirked and tilted my head, like I've seen people in movies do to people they were trying to be smart.

"Oh, hee hee, my mistake." I could tell she was annoyed, then she went to Fiona. "And what is your name Fiona?"

"Tonight I'm thinking Lacy."

"Oh how lovely...Mrs. Carters you MUST try this its..." Mrs. Phier whisked my mom away leaving my sister and I vulnerable.

"May i have this dance?" a tall, tan, muscular boy took "Lacy's" hand. She smiled sweetly and they strolled out onto the dance floor.

"Oh great, I just llllooooovvvveee to be alone." I sneered to myself.

"May i have this dance?" a sickly sweet voice sent shivers down my neck. The youngest boy of the Ghen family, Iscar Ghen stood in front of me stunning as ever.

"M-m-me?" Was all i could manage. He took my hand and led me onto the dance floor. We swayed to a simple slow dance, his hands on my waist and mine onto his shoulders. If any word could describe that moment, i would tell you now, scary. It was as simple as that, my mind was racing, i could hardly look at him in the eye, and i felt a cold sweat nestle under my hair line. I looked around the crowd for something calming to look at. I focused on a black headed waitress, she didn't look American by her exotic face. She was pale with red lips and piercing blue eyes. I noticed Mrs. Phier was yelling at her pointing to the food, but i couldn't make out what she was saying. And like a bursting balloon Mrs. Phier's hand flew up and across of the young girls face making a big smack.

"Oh my goodness." I stopped dancing "did you just see what Mrs. Phier did?!" I told Iscar. He looked at his feet like and nodded.

"But i mean c'mon Micaela she's just the help. She doesn't even speak English no wonder Mrs. Phier got so mad."

"But that's no excuse!" I looked back at the girl as she ran out of the room. I walked over to Mrs. Phier who was now swearing under her breath. "Mrs. Phier is something wrong?"

She looked up startled that anyone saw that display.

"No dear I'm fine thank you."

I excused myself politely and grabbed "Lacy" as she danced with the same boy.

"I'm leaving." i declared at started to walk out the door, it was only about a five minute walk and i wasn't afraid of the night. "Lacy" starred in concern but walked with me home. I ran into my room and slammed the door, hot tears ran down my face. I kept replaying the slap over and over. Why was this getting to me so much? I cried more and more until i passed out.

Hi, Rockstarz. I'm Voxina. I'll give you a review.

You have a great piece. The title attracted me as soon as I read it.

The flow is quite good, and I love the voice you give your character. The voice seems bona fide, and gives her a very sincere sort of tone. At the same time, it highlights the very human aspect of her personality. She's a bit tough with a softer side, eh?

Important: go through and check for typos. Especially make sure you capitalize all "I"s and use apostrophes in all contractions.

Also, the transition between the dance floor and her going "to my room" didn't make sense. I don't know whether you meant she walked home or if she had a room at the Phier's house.

I love this. Please write more! I can't wait to find out what's important about the maid that was slapped by Ms. Phier.

Cheers!
