There are many forms of love in the world if you look carefully. But we as humans choose to look at love in only the romantic sense. We spend our lives trying to look for our soul mate, the person who is apparently going to spend his whole life with us. The person who, they say, will do whatever it takes for us. But in this obsession with the romantic love we ignore all the other forms of love that surround us. What's sad is that while most of us spend a large section of our time crying because we have not been fortunate enough to find true love, we don't see the love that is staring at us right in the face. You see, there is more than just one kind of soul mate out there.
There is a quotation that has come to be of great significance to me in the last few months. And it goes something like this - sometimes the things that we need the most are right in front of us and yet we don't see them.
In our obsession with this 'true love' we totally ignore the love that we get all the time. It is reflected in the small things that people around us do. That thing could be as small as a simple affectionate hug from someone or an innocent smile from a stranger. I, for one, can say that no matter how much i protest when he does it, one of the most relaxing experience is when my brother hugs me. That is one feeling of love I value immensely. One other such form of love is friendship. I could go on and on to say that the feeling of belonging-ness I get around my friends warms me up from inside. I get that love from my roommate as she calms me down when I start freaking out the night before of my exams. I get that love from my best friend of over 7 years when i meet her for the first time in 4 years. I get that from my favorite girl friend when she nags me over the simple and pain clothes I wear or my lack of party life. I get that from my favorite guy friends when they stay cracking stupid jokes when I'm feeling down and try to embarrass me around any guy that i might have a crush on.
Yes, there are times, when I too find myself wishing for that one person who will be 'It' from me. But it takes me less than a minute to realize the other forms of love around me. The other forms of love that envelope me wherever I go.
'True Love' is not some show affection from one person. It is the little acts of kindness by everyone around us. 'True Love' isn't just in the grand declaration of love by your counterpart. It is even in the quite good night that your parents says when they tuck you into bed at night. I feel 'True Love' when I go back home from the hostel and my mom pulls me into the tightest, warmest hugs every time. I feel 'True Love' when I sit with my best friend and reminisce with her about our time in school together. I feel 'True Love' when my group of friends pull pranks on one another. I feel 'True Love' when my mother makes my favorite for lunch. I feel 'True Love' when me and my brother sing along to every song at the top of our voice and my mom dad cover their ears at our tone deafness.
And that is when I feel liberated.
That is when I know what 'True Love' really means.

Hello there! Happy review day!
I really enjoyed reading your article. you have written the right thing. almost all of we are thinking the same way you mentioned, like finding "Our TRUE love." and some of we spend our whole life searching, which is awful.
so, yes, we should look around. how loving all these are! why only people? your books, pencils, your bed, pillows... all those things, you can love! and, when you're around them, you can feel those love.
Thank you for writing such a good article. we really need to know about Love rather than searching crazily for that one royal "TRUE LOVE." agree with you.

Hello, happy review day!
This I agree with greatly. When I talk about true love, I talk about trust; and I feel like you hint at this from time to time with the idea of family. You tell us that family is the essence of true love, not the partnership with another.

I love how calm this poem makes me feel. The story telling tone that rides a long with the ideas of love creates a beautiful music within my head(don't judge).
The insightful part to this, really informs the reader of your idea of love. I love how you talk of true love as not some show of affection from one person, but the little acts of kindness by everyone around us.
You have written this with lovely grammar and you have really dug within my core as a reader. Thank you for producing such an amazing work
That's all from me,
an amazing work,
Godly
This is really cool. Definitely an appropriate way of showing people to focus on the smaller things in life. And it's refreshing to read about love in a non-intimate fashion for once.
This is a really interesting and insightful read, fair play to you for putting it together. Pretty sure I'm a fan now!
I definately agree with your writing. There are different types of love from different types of people. I personally don't believe the concept of the "soul mate" but instead I believe in having a certain person and partner you choose to go on the journey of life with. Not necessarily a person meant for you or your other half of you but a person I want to spend my life with to ensure life long companionship. Maybe that is why people marry now a days. It's a funny comcept though that we usualy choose just one person to spend out lives with. Anyways, it was a sweet, well written, and a pleasant read.
