Not As They Seem chapt. 2

In many movies or books you come to find that when you slowly wake from, I don’t know, a close encounter to a concussion? You usually find yourself to wake to dark beautiful eyes gently gazing into yours and the person whispers, “are you alright, my love?”

In my case, I woke to the loud thundering of a headache and the glare of my white ceiling in my apartment. I groaned, sitting up and rubbing my eyes. I could feel the tangled mess of my hair weighing down my hair and the glob of my make up smeared all over my face. I felt groggy and overslept, my mind absent of what was going on. I slipped out of bed and glanced down. I didn’t remember putting on my red silky nightgown, I didn’t even remember getting into bed. I shrugged and slinked into the bathroom.

After a warm shower, I felt better and more awake. I took some Tylenol for my horrible headache and nearly killed myself by tripping over my cat. A usual morning.

At my apartment door, I grabbed the morning paper and slumped down in a kitchen chair, my newspaper in hand and a cup of coco in the other. I then noticed what was before my eyes, under the paper.

I peeked under the newspaper to see a neatly folded note on my kitchen table.

When I said weird things happen to me, this is exactly what I’m talking about. I set down my cup and gently unfold my little note.

It read:

My dearest Robin.

I’ll protect you with my life, Robin, with my whole being. From all the centuries I’ve lived, I’ve never met a woman as amazing as you; however, from our recent greeting, you aren’t pleased of what I am. Yes, I’m a vampire, a fucked up immortal that walks the world in a lonely dark trench I cannot get out of. Now, I assume, from all my pain I’ve endured, I've been rewarded. That reward is you. I’m in love with you, but as I said, you’re not pleased of what I am. I want you, Robin, with me, for the rest of my vampiric life. I refuse to loose you. Which means I will change you. I am going to make you like me and keep you with me forever. To get you isn’t going to be easy, I assume. We’re going to play Game, this game is for your life and love. From this point on, until you choose to become my lover, then I will turn every single person you love into what I am. They will hunt you and bring you to me. If they catch you, then you’re mine. If you’re able to withstand the pain of killing someone you love to protect yourself then you will be alright, momentarily. Each night, at midnight, I will go to one of your love’s and change them. It can be anyone. Also, you’re able to save them……if you can guess who is first. Good luck my lover, and like I said, you won’t get hurt. At least not physically.

J.C.

Okay, now I admit this is the weirdest thing that’s ever happened to me. Like extremely crazy.

But as I slowly stood from the table, a loud crack from the front door erupts throughout the room making my heart stop.

Let the Game begin.

Once again, great:)

I don't know, I jus felt like this letter didn't sound very, "bad vampire," to me. I don't know how to explain it. This guy is supposed to be creepy and really old and evil, right? I'm not seeing this letter as someone like that would write.

But I loved the plot line. It just keeps getting more and more interesting. Turning someone she knows every night is great. You got me hooked.

I'm officially stalking you with this story:)

Hey there,

I love this, it's really great and i love the truth about the headache (about not waking to someone asking if your alright :) ) Just one thing, maybe saying "and nearly killed myself by running over my cat" could be different, like " and nearly killed myself by tripping over my cat" just because after that headache i don't think they would be running anywhere :) I like the ending even if i desperately want to read the next part. Overall i love it and can't wait for the next bit :)

Once again, you left off some caps. And is he really that fucked up that he thinks she'll grow to love him by turing the people she loves? Don't answer that just yet, leave the goddamn cliff hanger in place so I can read you next chapter. Which better be post soon!

*shivers* Creepiness! (In a very good/bad way!) I must say, I don't ever want to be loved by your variety of vampires!

I get that proverbial bad feeling about this...

Okay, now I admit this is the weirdest thing that’s ever happened to me. Like extremely crazy.
