The fairytale

by hales13

A voice carries with the wind,
A soul dances in the rain,
A girl hurts on the outside
To rid the inside pain.

Three short words spoken
By two fragile lovers,
Becomes a tragic tale,
With more promises broken.

A tear falls and crashes,
A whisper is heard, secrets released aloud,
We’re all in an empty room,
Trying to lose ourselves within a crowd.

As a girl writes her devastating verses,
Her heart becomes shattered.
Her tears fall on the fairytale,
A story about how love once mattered.
