the dawn of day at war,
like the devil calling them,
to fight once again.
pain everywhere,
men falling to there death in no mans land,
in the battle of the Somme.
a fine days work,
said he,
the donkey that lead the lions,
into hell.
this poem is dedicated to all the men and there families that died in the battle of the Somme WW1.
a fact about it: 20,000 men died in the first hour and 80,000 died that day

This was okay. I would suggest looking at capitalisation. I liked it though. It had good flow, and some nice imagery. The allusion was good too.
All in all, I think this was good work.
I hope you do well for your homework.
Keep it up,
