Is this a good start for a novel?
It has been weeks since we set out from Nordivell. Halfway across the ocean and still, there is no sight of land. Black clouds stir on the horizon, and the entire crew can feel a storm brewing. The air is electricity against our skin. The waters are growing wild and chaotic, just as the blood inside our veins pulse with exitement and fear.

I would say this is a good start for a novel
Good job!

Yes, that does appear to be a good start to a novel.
If this has any indication to the actual story, I can't wait to read it.
Though, I notice that you misspelled "exitement". I realize this might be a typo, so it's not a deal-breaker.
Anyway, great start, and I can't wait to read the rest of it. Keep writing, and may the Force be with you.
