Imagine a place where an ocean spreads from far and wide. The evenings radiating the ocean with the sun gleaming from the horizon and casting its reflection on the water creating a sparkle. Like magic. The water is crystal-clear like a diamond on a ring. You dive into the water and the bubbles tickle your nose as you gradually open your eyes. A school of fishes swim around you with every colour of the rainbow and more. A bright yellow fish swims past with a flick of the tail, hurrying home to his parents. You swim further out, feeling the thick sand beneath your feet. Trenches and caves distract you from the school of fishes that keep following you. You like to know that you're not alone in the ocean. That you have friends. You stop swimming and really take a look at your surroundings. You lie down on the sand on the ocean floor, which is not that deep you realize. The sand is warm and comforting when you place your head down. When you look up the only thing you see is the blue colour of the water and the sun casting down it's rays onto the waves of the ocean. The evening sky has turned into a beautiful pink and blue colour and you smile. The fishes haven't left. They swim around you and wonder in awe, "who is this person?" and "why does this person love the ocean?" You notice the sun gently starting to fade away and you pick yourself up and push yourself up from the ocean floor, bubbles tickling every inch of you. You push your arms and legs with such might because you know it's time to go. Then suddenly, you're on the surface. You take a deep delicious breath of air. It smells fresh, clean and...free. The smell is intoxicating. Your feet move back and forth under the water as you look toward the sun. It is now only peeking from behind the faraway mountains. You swim back while taking your time. You imagine everything that could be under the water that no one discovered yet. Mermaids with long hair and a beautiful voice flicking their marvelous tails as they swim past an old pirate ship that carried rubies. Then you step out of the water. The waves lapped the shore and your feet. It wanted you to stay.
"I'll come back." You say as you turn around and run back to the large castle that looms over you. This might be a home to some people but the ocean is your true happiness.
