All the sleepless nights,
all the tears I've cried,
all those in my life,
I've either left or died.
I can't do this on my own,
I need you to help me stand,
and while your at it Lord,
can you please hold my hand.
Guide me on this journey,
lead me in the right direction,
making progress along the way, and striving for perfection.
The word says to be still and know that you are God, on my bed is where I'll sit, As long as I'm dead to sin, I know that I can make it.

Hey dannibooklover,
This is so touching and so believable. Every believer goes through something like this, and choosing to go to God with your doubts is the right choice. I have prayed many a prayer just like this. Line 4 is alittle vague, though, I'd like it to be a little more clear as to exactly what is meant there. In line 7 "your" should be "you're". In the last line, "word" should be capitalized as it is a a proper noun. Something I like to do in my spiritual writings is to capitalize all pronouns referring to God. That is just a suggestion of course, as there is nothing grammatically incorrect with the way you've done it. Good job. Keep writing.

Initially, it was your description that made me want to read this poem and I'm so glad it did! I loved this poem. I think you depicted struggles and times of self-doubt everyone goes through.

I really like how you said, "all those in my life, I've either left or died." It gave me chills. It's such an accurate statement though, on your journey you will leave some people behind.
I really liked how you brought God into your poem. I think it's a great driving force to allow people struggling to connect with it and know that they are not alone.
Also, I think one of my favorite parts of this poem was that you described it as a journey. It's not about a destination you must arrive to but how you are and what you learn as your strive for your goal through the journey.
Overall, I really enjoyed reading this. Great job
Awe, I needed that. Thank you lots!
I really enjoyed this poem! Sometimes, it can be easy to lose hope, but as long as we are able to remember that God (or somebody else, for people who aren't religious) is there with us, it becomes less of a challenge to get up on our feet and continue on with life.
I have had many times in my life where I have felt just about ready to give up, and it was because of my faith, and the love I had around me that I was able to get back up and stay strong, no matter how hard that seemed like it was going to be at the time.
You wrote a great pick-me-up poem! I'll be sure to read this one whenever I feel like I need a reminder that there is someone--that someone being God--that will always love me, and cherishes me when it seems like no one else does.
Other than that, your writing style is great! I really hope that you'll keep writing more like this!
Thank you, I appreciate your honesty!
When i Seen this on the Description . When Prasie Go up, Blessings come down reminded me of this song "Atmosphere" . I love this spritually Poem. I Like stuff like that. Im in school right now and i when i read the descripture i was like yes. My Soul just Got Happy. Werid i know just love the Lord So much and if you want to talk im here if you need. I went through this in a part of my life. Im Christain too, its very hard because of the bad influncess and stuff but you learn how to deal with it and just keep walking. You should keep your head up, because he will come just wait on it. because you have to bleive it in becuase it will happen.
"I need you to help me stand,
and while your at it Lord,
can you please hold my hand.
Guide me on this journey,
lead me in the right direction," but theres nothing i need to correct its perfect and i argee to the Other review below me or above me one of them about the Song thing YES .. Love IT too
Thank you!
I sang all of this! These make great religious song lyrics.
There are a few mistakes in wording (like "I've either..." where it should be "have either..."), grammar, and spacing, so I'll fix those down below, but there's not much to correct poem-wise.
"All the sleepless nights,
all the tears I've cried,
all those in my life,
have either left or died.
I can't do this on my own.
I need you to help me stand,
and while you're at it Lord,
can you please hold my hand?
Guide me on this journey.
Lead me in the right direction -
making progress along the way,
and striving for perfection.
The word says to be still
and know that you are God.
On my bed is where I'll sit,
and as long as I'm dead to sin,
I know that I can make it."
Nice!
Thank you I'll take that into consideration next time!
