Hello everyone! This is part of a song I wrote for my book "How We Rock". I've also created a lyric video for this song if you wanted to check that out as well: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s2dQ6i-7i0U Tell me what you think:)

Lyrics:

I've been locked in a tower
Nobody rescued me
I've been here for hours
Week after week
Another X on the calender
Same old, same old routine
I'm painting over this picture
I'm changing my scene

Let me out
On my way
I can't find my place
In this cage
This is not my fate
Need to get away

Chorus
I wanna fly
Spread my wings and go
I'll touch the sky
When I find the key to set me free
I wanna run
Kick the chains away
There's no better feeling than running on my two feet

I really like these lyrics. I, myself, am a songwriter. The lyrics you have posted have a smooth, flowing rhythm inside it.

Keep it up. You are doing great :D

This was really cool sounding. It had a great flow and I kind of just wanted to sing along as I was reading it. The song was really pretty.

The only thing I disliked was how it kind of jumped all over the place from different topic to different topic. So, as great as it was if I was listening to this on the radio I'd have wanted to play it back to listen to the lyrics again.

I like how it ends, it's very releasing, very free indeed. Overall it was very nice.

Keep writing! I'd love to read another song by you.

Good luck,
TLM
