I can't remember when I started. It was just that one time when everyone was hanging out. I didn't want to look stupid so I tried it. I've been addicted ever since. It makes me feel that momentary bliss and then after those wonderful moment I crash. Then I need to do it again and again and again and again. I'm addicted. The cocaine is part of me now.
I live in a suburban neighbourhood and I have a great life. My family is normal and so are my friends. I've never been one to do something bad until that one time. That's all I can say about it now: it was only one times. Sometimes when I crash I wish that I never started and that I could go back to when I wasn't like this. When I wasn't so fucking messed up. But then, I take it again and cocaine is the best thing that's ever happened to me. The cocaine is part of me now. No matter how many times I've told myself I'll stop. I never do.
This is part of the crash. It's the time when all of my thoughts suffocate me and I feel scared and all alone. My thoughts taunt me and I find myself thinking of the monster I've become. I never show the monster though. The monster just lives and breathes inside of me. It screams at me: "More! More! More!" The monster controls me now. I once wondered whether my parents noticed that something was wrong with me. If they ever noticed that anything was different... If they noticed that the monster was growing and taking over. If they noticed that their child had become the monster. But I soon realized that they couldn't and they never would. I don't think they'll ever notice until it's too late.
It's those blissful moments that I know will come again that keep me going with this. I can honestly say that when I'm high off of the coke, I'm the happiest. I'm flying high and nothing can touch me. That's the time when the monster comforts me and tells me the most beautiful stories. I feel invincible and I forget about the crash. It's the only reason why I keep on snorting it. It's the only reason I continue to do this shit. Without it life feels like the crash all the fucking time.
Thinking of the bliss makes me smile and I can't wait to feel it all over again. Then my thoughts turn and I think about my parents once more. They're not home and this is the only time that I can be alone with the bliss and crash. I wait and crave the moments like this when it's just me, myself and I. When I first started snorting the coke I had to be with people. The first times you crash it feels like the world is ending right infront of you. I was the worst they'd ever seen they used to say. Now, I'm alright being by myself. I honestly prefer it. When I'm alone it's just my thoughts and me. But I'm not truly alone the monster reminds me. Are you ever truly alone with your thoughts?

Your comment was posted, but it wasn’t long enough to count as a review. Reviews need about four complete sentences (at least 250 characters). Try writing another review that explains your thoughts in more detail — the author will appreciate it, and you’ll earn points for it.
I *loved* your use of imagery! You provided an insight into the character’s thoughts and described their feelings. Your sentence structures, e.g. many short sentences, gave me a “floaty” feeling because I could read them quickly, and you have captured the experiences/conflict of an addicted person. Well done!
I think of this piece as absolutely beautiful. Your descriptions seem effortless – they are perfect! I found no errors/mistakes because I was mesmerised by your writing style.
I truly enjoyed reading this! Though short and simple, it did leave an effect on me.
Well done, and keep writing!
Sigh...Beautiful piece...I commend you. I absolutely loved this piece to tell you the truth. I didn't find anything wrong with it except for some spelling errors and some punctuation mistakes.
I loved your use of imagery, the floating vagueness of the story itself that gives it a dream- like feel. Just incredible.
And these were the REAL thoughts of one who was addicted. I can tell or...you just have an awesome way of thinking up ideas that trully fit the topic, facts and all.
I'll point out the errors and correct them below:
" It makes me feel that momentary bliss and then after those wonderful moment I crash."
" It makes me feel that momentary bliss and then, after that wonderful moment, I crash."
"Sometimes when I crash I wish that I never started..."
"Sometimes when I crash I wish that I had never started..."
"Without it life feels like the crash all the fucking time."
Without it, life feels like the crash all the fucking time."
"When I first started snorting the coke I had to be with people."
"When I first started snorting the coke ,I had to be with people."
"The first times you crash it feels like the world is ending right infront of you. I was the worst they'd ever seen they used to say."
"The first times you crash ,it feels like the world is ending right infront of you. I was the worst they'd ever seen ,they used to say."
"But I'm not truly alone the monster reminds me."
"But I'm not truly alone, the monster reminds me."
Just a few minor errors that I took the time to correct. But otherwise I loved this piece. It's a sort of biography. About a teen. Who doesn't find any interest in that?
