I'm thinking of writing a poem from this. What do you think?
Sometimes,
I sigh.
Because I feel a connection
When I look in your eyes.
But no words escape from
Between our locked lips.
Yes, you know who you are.

Hi there,
To answer your question, go for it! You could totally write a good poem based off of this encounter/experience/thing. The only part I would change would be the "You know who you are" line. If you don't plan to show this poem to that person, then no, they won't know who they are. See what I'm saying? If you cut it, the poem will be more accessible to all readers.
Let me know when you finish it! You have a good start. Good luck!
This is definitely a good start toward a poem. Anything written has the potential to be poetry, it all depends on how you work with it, mold it and shape it into something more. Of course, this alone could be it's own, but that's up to it's creator. Keep writing!
