hey bluewaterlilly! how are you today?
just remember to take your time with telling the story, and have the confidence to make things bigger and better.
Firstly, I'd like to say that you really have something good going on here! You obviously love your story and genre, and the passion is really evident. You also have a good grasp on language, you just need to expand. To put it another way; I feel like this is just the skeleton of something that could be really great! Your confidence really grows as the piece goes on - try have that confidence right from the beginning. You really have something special here
I hope I've been helpful and not just jabbered! Keep it up xx
Hey bluewaterlily. KD here to review! I won't give you a nitpick review today, since you already got two good ones before me. I'll just give you an 'overall' review on this chapter. Wait...is this a chapter of something? Because if it is, you might want to move this to Fantasy Fiction Novels, even if you don't continue your story.
Overall, I thought this was pretty good, and you definitely should continue! It actually really doesn't matter what we think about this for you to continue, anyways. As you see, all of us can have pretty mixed opinions.
In my opinion, you did an especially lovely job with describing the MC in the very beginning of the story; you've got nice imagery in this piece. I also feel that we got a decent sense of the characters being the first chapter and all.
My only complaint here is the ending/the very last line. It's so very cliche...perhaps can you think of some other way to end this/something else? That's just a tiny, tiny thing though, and this ending complaint is just my opinion.
Good luck! Hope I helped. Keep on writing-
KD
Hello. My name is Kiara, and I will be reviewing/critiquing your piece today.
The last comma should be alternated into a semicolon.
This sentence could be fixed up a bit. Aside from objectivity like grammar, good writting also needs nicely structured/written setences. Something like "Even knowing I was innocent, he never defended for the times I've been blamed for countless things."
Again with the ill-written sentences. It'd be made a whole lot better if written "She began to shiver deliberately to emphasize her point."
After the semicolon, it would be alright to just put "leave."
Also, I thought that this was a very sudden decision of the main character to make. Right now, I feel like she should still be in shock. Perhaps, after simmering down after the whole event, she could make a big life decision as that.
Wouldn't "is" be changed to "was?" Yes, I understand that you are now speaking in present-tense, but I do believe that after the main character whispers, he should have already been gone, making that past-tense in a way.
Overall:
This story isn't bad, though there are a few things you should fix, which I have probably mentioned earlier.

Characters
Lilla:
She seems nice. It's hard to tell within one chapter what the MC is like. If you post more chapters I can give you more input about her.
Her Mother:
I don't think you gave her name. That's fine, as I'm assuming we won't see her again. However, my question is why is she so mean? And don't say "because she'd evil." People aren't born evil. There had to be something that made her that way. Though it's not nearly as important in a one-chapter character, make sure that future villians have motives for trying to harm--or whatever it is they're doing--the MC.
Jackamal:
Hmmm... Something tells me he knew about her powers all along. I want to know if he has more part in this, or how he knew what she was doing and everything else. This is good. It keeps me reading. However, don't have me ask a dozen questions that you have no intention of answering.
Grammar
Your grammar is pretty good. You had some problems with commas, but don't worry, so do I. If anything I'm worse. It's a lot easier to see the mistakes in other's writing than in your own. That is why we have site's like YWS though, isn't it? Your spelling was impeccable, though you did seem to repeat words close together, though only a few times. At first it's not that noticeable, though if this continues you could very mush irritate the reader.
Overall
I like this.
Hope I helped, ultraviolet
