Run Away With Me

Run away with me to Neverland
Where everything shines, the sky, the sand
Where pixies hide in your bathroom drawers
And golden elephants roam the moors

Run away with me to the Fountain of Youth
Where we'll spend our days among the Truth
Where we'll live forever and never grow old
And bathe in tiny nugets of gold

Run away with me to Camelot
Where we'll dine with Arthur and Lancelot
Where the castle turrets spiral away
And we'll dance and drink and laugh all day

Run away with me to the under-city
Where the statues gleam and the dirt is pretty
To Atlantis, where the mermaids reside
Where the only bother is the changing tide

Run away with me to Wonderland
We'll fall through the hole; give me your hand!
We'll chase the rabbit and watch him scatter
Then on our journey, find the mad hatter

Run away with me to Anywhere
Where you'll own the castle, you'll own the air!
I'll give you the sun, the moon, the weather
Just so long as we're together

We'll run away, but hold my heart
Hold it tight and then we'll start
Start to run towards Anywhere
Because where ever you go, I'll follow you there

It wasn't inspired by a person, just a conversation. I'm glad you like it :D

Aww this poem was beyond cute!!!!!!!!! As I read I imagined myself being with someone and running away with them just to two of us! iIhope that this poem was inspired by something....or someone because it was beautiful! Your flow was amazing. I loved who each stanza you touched on different magical places that everyone knows about so that we can get an image of the place ans a sense of what that place is like. The only thing that i found in this poem that were little mistakes, were just that little gramatic errors, but other than that AMAZING!!

Awww!! This is sweet!! I love it. Only one thing to tell you:-

Run away with me to Neverland,
Where everything shines, the sky, the sand.
Where pixies, they hide in your bathroom drawers,
And golden elephants roam the moors.

Run away with me to the Fountain of Youth,(Do you like Pirates of the Caribbean? I love it!)
Where we'll spend our days among the Truth.
Where we'll live forever and never grow old,
And bathe in tiny nuggets of gold.

Run away with me to Camelot,
Where we'll dine with King Arthur and Sir Lancelot.
Where the castle turrets spiral away,
And we'll dance and drink and laugh all day.

Run away with me to the under-city,
Where the statues gleam and the dirt is pretty.
To Atlantis, where the mermaids reside,
Where our (This is just a suggestion.) only bother is the changing tide.

Run away with me to Wonderland,
We'll fall through the hole; give me your hand!
We'll chase the rabbit and watch him scatter,
Then on our journey,we'll find the mad hatter.

Run away with me to Anywhere,
Where you'll own the castle, you'll own the air!.
I'll give you the sun, the moon, the weather,
Just so long as we're together.

We'll run away, but hold my heart,
Hold it tight and then we'll start,
Start to run towards Anywhere,
Because where ever you go, I'll follow you there.

That's all! It was a lovely poem but I think you really should add punctuation marks don't you?
Sorry if I was too nit picky.

Hey there!
Such a sweet poem. I loved the last stanza, it really brought the poem together as a whole. It was a good summation of the previous stanzas, and it gave them meaning. Halfway through the poem, I was trying to find a point to it, and the last stanza provides just that. There was rich imagery as well as a nice appeal to the innocence of the narrator's and readers' childhood through the stories we were all told as kids. I saw no grammar mistakes, so you're good in that department. There were no spelling errors either, and I really just enjoyed reading it. It had a nice flow and lovely rhymes. Keep up the great work!
