Falling

Golden hopes sprinkled with desire
Flames of my love burning with fire.
I don’t understand you at all,
Nor why so it’s hard when I fall.
On and off—the switch of emotion,
Up and down—the waves of motion.
One day I love you over everyone,
You seem to be my own special sun.
The next you send me hatred I return
My heart will hurt, my belly will churn.
I want you so deeply—pure honesty
What’s untrue is how you feel about me.
The terrifying longing to be in your arms,
Kills me as does your charismatic charms.
When our eyes meet in the midst of thought,
It feels as though I’ve been punched—shot.
These mindless words I conceive to you,
You probably think their wrong—not true.
Stop running away from your feelings, and mine.
Unless you don’t feel them, then fine.
I guess I’ll just go on thinking my mind,
Unless you decide that finally you find
Yourself falling for me—your love grew,
As much as mine grew and I’m falling for you.

This poem really caught my eye; very emotive and flows better than any of my stuff. I also noticed you are new, so welcome to YWS!

Your creativity and way with words is captivating and intriguing, and all of the rhymes match up pretty well. However, some rhyming couplets have a dodgy beat which ruins the flow a bit. Your half-rhymes seemed improvised; they could have been better or even full rhymes (though I do understand it isn't always easy in poetry to get the perfect words). Aside from that, this was an absolutely marvelous piece of rhythmic poetry. Keep on writing this well!

DNX away.
