somewhere between seaseme street and dawsons creek

[pre]once upon a time i asked a very dear and wise friend of mine,

"why can't things just be like when we where kids when we didn't feel the hurt and the wounds could be healed with kisses?",his response well, his response was...

"cuz we got older,we got smarter, were not those dumb little kids anymore."

true his statement was correct but, when did this occur? i mean when did we grow up, somewhere between seaseme street and dawson's creek we outgrew the simple and somehow, somewhere along that broken road we realized fairy tales and happy endings don't exist in real life.somewhere between baking cupcakes with ma and chillin' at the mall with friends we realized that kisses won't always fix the wounds and the world isn't always candy canes and gumdrops.but,oh where oh where did old man time play this cold trick on us,on me?[/pre]
