Cannot Forget

It's over and I know it is
But it smells just like you--
My old blue sweater.
Yeah I see you over there
staring at the clouds,
Wonder-struck by rain fall.

No sight of the sun.
Lovely Tuesdays swing by.

I simply miss you.
A breeze cannot carry me into your arms.
My knives to the side
& your bombs returned,
I'm ready if you are.

In fields of red roses and anger
Lies an exception.
A white flower--
The only one.

We laugh in cool water
& stroll on sand.
Brasil, ah Brasil...
Heart broken waves mend the banks
On their way to healing.
Let us just make precious moments together.
A new year. A new us.

With American mouths we sing Alejandro
& Dance to Te Amo
In the water with a heat of hearts.

You are a rich sunset.
One I cannot forget.

it doesn't matter if your comment is short. Thank you for telling me how you liked it and how you felt. I like when writing is able to do that =)

I LOVE that stanza! Like the person above said, you have fantastic imagery and wording. I like how this poem wasn't too short, but didn't carry on for ages either. This was an amazing poem, you did really well, good job :D

This is beautiful. You are really good at setting the scene and making what you are trying to say very clear to your audience. Great work. :)
