Happiness, and all it's friends.

Memories of happier times hang in the air,
Grimly reminding me of a better past.
I just want to fade away; the universe is quite vast,
Yet I can’t seem to avoid everyone’s unfriendly stare

Gloomily, I go about my daily routine,
Feeling not only blue, but also purple, yellow and green.
Happiness is momentary; Nothing ever seems to last,
But does this apply to memories of a better past?

The only thing that keeps me going,
Is the hope of a better tomorrow
The one thing that all the signs are showing,
Is that there is an end to all the sorrow.

Tomorrow is a new day,
And with it comes hope.
Shed no more tears; don’t you mope
Sorrow has gone away,
And Happiness is here to stay.
