Uglies Trilogy

by _fallingstar_

For those of you who don't know, Uglies is a sci-fi series set in a futuristic world where everyone has plastic surgery at sixteen so that everyone will be equal and there will be no more wars. I don't want to say much else, otherwise I'll spoil the book for would-be readers.

The trilogy consists of Uglies, Pretties, and Specials, which recently came out.

Has anyone else read it?

Extras was freaking incredible. Specials didn't really kick in until the end, though.

I read the first three about 2 or so years ago and loved them. I just got the fourth from my school library and started reading it. I just wish that it was about Tally and David...

Hey, I liked Zane better than David. David's too moody and he listens to everything his mother says. I hated it when Zane died, I almost cried, which is no something I usually do.

I read the first one and liked it a lot, but I haven't got round to reading the others yet. Pretty clever idea really, I dunno if I'd still like it because when I read the first one I was a bit younger..

I started reading the uglies about a year ago but I only got to about half way because my mum ended up giving the book away to charity >.> I remember it being good though, I might go and buy the series again some time

I read the Pretties but I didn't get it because I hadn't read the first book in the trilogy and was trying to stay on the track around my school's football field, nearly dropping it in the first place. :)

I love this series! I just started Extras, but my friend says its not as good as the others. The one part towards the end of Specials almost made me cry, though. It was soooo sad!

There is already a thread for this. In the beginning, it was just about the Uglies, but has branched to include the entire series.

Oh, my sister read those books. I, unfortunately, haven't. My sister says they're really good books, even though she didn't exactly like the ending of the last book. She said it was like a 'neutral' ending. :D
